Oh my god, all this shit that Bush is doing is so fucking unbelievable!!!! Yesterday I actually was pleasantly surprised that he was taking responsibility for the slow reaction to the hurricane......and yes i realize as the president he should do that anyway but its bush, he is redifining the presidency in a very scary way.

Anyways, now I read the article about lifting wage rules for Katrina...basically taking more money away from the victims and putting it right in to his good old buddy Haliburton's infinitley deep pockets!! mad mad mad

frown Has anybody heard of this story about the cops stealing food and water from the hurricane survivors?



Ok so my plan is that I am moving soon to a house with a yard, which means I can have a yard sale and trust me I have a lot of shit to sell. I havent really had money to donate to the survivors of the hurricane so I want to donate everything I make from the sale. Where should I give it to and how do I know if it will go straight to the survivors? Im just so sceptical of everything these days!! shocked surreal

I would tell you to donate it to the Red Cross, but somehow I have my doubts that it will all if any actually go to the survivors.

What I would do is check with your local catholic parish. Even if you are not catholic. Most of them are having fund raisers and collections to donate to the survivors down there. Our local parish is having a annual auction, which we do every year, but this year they are donating 10% of the earnings to the Katrina Survivors.

Check with your local parish and I am sure they will help you make sure that your donation goes to the Katrina Survivors.
