the maldives..I'm so jealous, I always wanted to visit but now I'm in the states its so damn far away.. 
I remember watching one of those Judith Charmers type travel shows and one of the apartments you could rent for a holiday had a coffee table with a lid on that you could lift up to dip your feet in the sea or watch the fishes swim by..looked fucking fabulous.. 
I'm laughing so much at your english people moaning thing..one thing I love about Americans is there ability to be so positive about everything, I don't know how they do it..I do miss having English people to have good moan with..
I love devon and cornwall, I had may a happy childhood holiday down there, 6 of us would cram in my grandads beetle, I have know idea how we all managed to fit in..

I used to drive a Ford Ka and I got similar sniggers when I showed it to some Americans, I now have a big fuck off soccer mom SUV that fits 8, yes 8 people in it..its served its purpose though, the first two years of being here we've had so many visitors so its been great us all being able to get in one car, its lease is up soon though so it'll be going for something smaller and the visitors will have to hire something..
I also have my beloved Karmann Ghia too which when theres just me and my son in the day, we just drive round in that, although the last few days its been too hot to get her out, 45C here on Saturday..114F!!!!!!!!
