Okanagan fruit guys are the best.. make sure you get some plums and peaches!
Oh... and there's also a very brief season (I can't remember when exactly) for a vegetable I've only ever seen from Okanagan vegetable vendors.. it's called lemon cucumber. It's a cucumber shaped like a lemon, that you eat like an apple. With a little fresh tzadziki to dip it in it's heaven.
Oh god.. I just realized that you'll have access to Peaches 'n Cream corn on the cob around this time. Best corn of your life.. just picked that day.
My family used to vacation two weeks of the year in the Shushwap Lake region of the Okanagan.. I miss those days.
