I went to the dentist this monring for a long-overdue cleaning and to have a consultation abut the tooth I lost a filling from. The good news is that in spite of not seeing a dentist in about two years, my fangs are in pretty good shape. I have a tiny cavity on the side of one of my canines (the tooth is weak, having...

Almost.

Stressful? Nah, the wedding was a piece of cake. surreal skull surreal

Honestly, if you asked me the night before I was to be wed, "Do you think this will work tomorrow?" I would have replied, "No fucking way."

But it did. biggrin And everyone had a good time. But having gone through it - I am NEVER EVER EVER getting married again. That shit is just craaazy.

I got to leave work extra early tonight because we were really slow. smile But I didn't make any money because it was slow. frown A friend from here on the site came in to start working with us. smile But we prolly won't be working a lot of the same shifts. frown A regular at the bar brought me a whole shitload of...

You bring up a very good point about it being difficult to become a U.S. citizen due to the testing. Perhaps the tests should cover more useful information, namely an English vocabulary test. Who knows? In either case, I openly admit that I'd likely fail that test. I suppose it's partially America's fault for not encouraging people to learn our language.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they allowed people to have translators present during testing. (Lemme guess: They do.)

I went to SG Live last night! It was a good time, and something everyone should experience! I loved seeing my darling Chloe, but didn't have time to stick around afterwards to say hi. frown

Off to work, now. Wish me money! kiss

So, apparently a letter I wrote to the editor of my local paper was published, and gained enough attention for the paper's editor to respond (check link). The actual letter is on this page. It's kind of gratifying to have my letter noticed, but of all the letters I've written to editors, this is one of the ones with less eloquence, and more emotion....

The ladies who ran my ass off tonight, received wonderful service, then tipped 11% can eat a bag of dicks. mad I can't believe I dragged my sick self out of bed for that! I haven't ever been tipped that poorly by someone sober!

If you're in the SF area, and want your hair colored, you should see Coco. She's really good. last year, she...

My understanding is that they DO know. She has tattoos that she could have only LEGALLY gotten w/ her parents permission.
And I think hes stayed at her house before.

Drummerboy and I have talked about this SEVERAL times before and I swear to God if my daughters are 16 and EVER try this, I will lock them in their rooms.

Not really, but you know what Im saying.

I'm slowly returning to the land of the living... just in time to join the dead for Halloween. wink I'm going to the party tonight, so if you're in SGSF, I expect to see you there!

I'm dressing as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, but I didn't find a pair of shoes. I have a pair of red ones, but I don't want to wreck...

Still sick. This flu is really kicking my ass. I'm hoping it's not bronchitis, 'cause I don't have health insurance & can't get to a doctor. The upside is that I've lost about 12lbs in a week. Mebbe it's not that much of an upside. I just feel miserable. My chest has this awful rattling congestion - I haven't taken a deep breath since Friday!...

Yeah, it was fun. Only about 20 people total so it didn't get out of hand. I split a cab home with Mike and Sweet around 1 AM.

Aw, man. Feel better. Bronchitis sucks. frown Well, if nothing else, you should be all better in time for your b-day party.

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the horror of the shade,
And yet...

I was eating dinner tonight (chicken piccata, it kicked ass) and my mother in law said, "I'm really craving a banana split." I seriously thought about stabbing her in the neck with my fork, because I had totally forgotten about it until she said that!

I kind of want to watch the video again, but I know it's too addictive for casual viewing...

I am so sick. I feel like I'm going to die. I just worked 40 hours in three days, including a 17-hour day that was one of two triple-shift days. My throat hurts, I'm hacking shit up, and I can't stop doing this: puke . I am supposed to work tonight (only for five hours), but have no idea how I can do it. I can't...

yeah, it's crazy when i think about things like that. my mom was 21 when she got married. 2 years younger than me. craziness.

i think that people are much more likely to take things slowly now. if somebody i knew got engaged after 3 months i'd be like 'you're fucking crazy!' but at the same time, sometimes i really like the idea of just taking something and running with it. *shrug*

hope you're feeling better.

hope you're feeling better by now and being a good girl by doing what your mommy tells you. smile

Ok, so I got tagged, and have to tell you guys 20 things about myself. I'll be a good sport about this, but I better not get it again.

1. I hate chain letters, and anything like them. Especially in the age of internet, they're a pain in the ass. (greggster, I'm talking to you)

2. I abhor poor grammar. I don't...

I'm down with fur but if there is a faux option I usually take it. I don't want to Anna Wintour myself. Plus, faux is cheaper, which is bizarre because I'll just use the extra money on something else that's ridiculously expensive. Meh.

I just read what you wrote in the Girl's Group about my Halloween costume ("sexy" California raisin) and I assure you it's not the white gloves but the cool shades and hot jazz moves. Gotta love the 80's sunglasses. I'm probably going to accidentally evoke John Oates. surreal

Today a friend of mine told me his sex life with his wife is really bland. This is a guy who's super-sexual, so I was really shocked. I knew he'd messed around on her before, but I thought that it was pre-wedding jitters. Apparently not. I asked if he'd talked to her about it, and he said he had, but...

I bought my friend a lovely sweater for her birthday, but I feel like it's too plain. However, I managed to find a green blazer for myself that is the most beautiful thing ever. I'll be eating canned soup for awhile, but it's worth it!
