Well I just want to say a couple of things
1) The open road rules - dont fear, but embrace it! Its one of the few things that makes people feel alive in the dull daily existance of an increasingly sanitised, safety concsious world.
2) Most people on a bike have a crash sooner or later, yes you were selfish, but don't be too sad about him not having a bike - it could have been worse, bike accidents often are, I know people who've died from just hitting split oil on a road.
Thats why I choose to enjoy the road with a (fairly quick) car, much safer and you can slide it around.
Uh anyway getting away from what I was going to say here which was I hope you enjoy SG!

BTW. see you like trance, I used to DJ trance/acid, got loads of the stuff (1000+ 12"s and CDs as well) from mid 90's onwards here
