I was gonna leave due to inactivity but I've been using it lately so I'll stick around.

Would you mind if I made Westcliffe the group trip? It would be nice to have someone who knows the area. That was quite a problem with the spring trip. If the people who were going didn't have quite a bit of experience I think it would have been a mess. I am not interested in inviting any of the regional groups. For two reasons, I don't want people to be no shows and I want to people who go to have at least some knowledge of how to hike and camp. Which is a problem with the East Coast Camping group trip. It would only be a HC trip and you could bring who you wanted in addition. Numbers wise I don't know how many people could actually pull it off but 4 were able to make in the spring.

All planning would be done in a friends thread like the spring trip. Communicating there worked out really well.

I spent last night providing emergency communications for the Red Cross' shelter near my house. It was a long night. I have been up for 28 hours now. I need food but have hardly any since I was supposed to fly to Wisconsin today. That ain't gonna happen. Maybe Friday. Most likely Saturday.
