I don't remember ever seeing a hippo in a zoo, actually. Vicious creatures, hippos. Even more evil than chimps.

Last time I wrote a letter it was mangled in transit. I try to send a nice letter to someone, on my wonderful stationery, and the Post Office damaged it! Apparently only half of it arrived. The rest has been torn off.

^^And they always try to make it seem like you're special, and that they're giving you the job of a lifetime, some exclusive thing. Only a few very rare people have the qualities they're looking for in an employee.

When in fact they hire pretty much everyone, because they just want to get their money.

girl, bring your resume with you and drop it off all over the place. record stores, bowling alley, dental office, you would be surprised who will hire you if you just show up and present a good interview. keep the ink covered and wear conservative jewelry until you get hired. then after a few weeks, let them see the real you. sales sucks. you don't need the aggro! the more places you try, the better shot at getting a job you'll enjoy!

uhg. i hate shrinks. i've never met one that wasn't a pompous ass. if i can meet a shrink that doesn't talk to me like he's reading straight from a "Counseling for Dummies" book, maybe i'll change my mind. all the ones i have had sucked ass. uhg.

usually people are nice as hell to me in the airport. i always try to be as nice as i can to the security folk, because i know they're just doing their job- it's not their fault, you know? i mean, it's not like this random huy working security decided that i wasn't allowed to bring a cigarette lighter on the plain. plus, so many people are just rude as hell to them. sure, i don't like airports either, but don't take it out on the people that work there. grr. sorry. that's one of my rants.

we have an amazing zoo here in new york, and i've been trying to get my friends to go with me! aargh! i really want to share my fun filled day of monkeys flinging poo, and other silly animal shenanigans with someone.

I was in Nebraska a while back, and was amazed that a person could buy alcohol at the grocery store. On a Sunday. Liquor stores here are closed on Sundays. And we can only buy wimply alcohol at the grocery store. How did MN ever get so silly, when we have a long, proud tradition of brewing beer?

ps. Oh yes, and I think that I could probably have sex with a chick. That sort of thing seems to appeal to me.

i've driven through there a couple times! i didnt think it was at that high of an elevation though? maybe that's just cuz i used to live at 8,000, so most every place isnt really that high. hmm. drink lots of water! it's good for you, especially when going up higher.

oh man. i've only recently discovered the joys of actual makeup (beyond just black eyeliner) and i'm revelling in this newfound femininity. it's disgusting.

yeah, so i work right on the UIUC campus, and piercings/tattoos/whacky hairdos are totally cool. i'm still workin' minimum wage though. it's worth it. the atmosphere is so vigorous and new.

Good luck with the new job prospect! I just got myself a new job; a professional sort of gig, where you'd think they'd discourage tattoos and piercings. However, I wore all my piercings to my interview, and got the job anyway.

The job doesn't require me to interact with the public. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I had no intention of being friends with the hornets. I was thinking more of a tense piece. Non-interference for both parties; they leave me alone, I leave them alone. But I had to kill them all, as they violated our agreement. Fools.
