My computer power adapter broke, and since I'm currently borrowing Kea's computer, I can't post the pictures I want to. Maybe in a few weeks.

Anyway, things are good for me. Things change, and I'm trying my best to like it. There are many positive things in my life, and my friends who have been there for me are right at the top of the...

Hey mate, thanks for the intro. Looking forward to this Nov Melb hook-up v much, I am. So must you be to be coming all that way! Committed? I like it!

Argh, the pill, eh? With my fella in Ireland until Feb, I went off it. But I know what it's like. Just take it easy on yourself and smile through the teariness. You'll come good again!

I'm systematically replacing absent food with cigarettes, this is hopefully a short term thing.
I'm planning my enrollment for next year.
I'm drinking tea, wishing I was anywhere but here.

Yes I would like to do the Bowery again but would need a lot more money as I would want to drink with you all.

Despite the circumstances I have really enjoyed spending time with you this week. Hope we can find a place we all like and can afford. smile

I GOT FLOWERS! What a lovely way to arrive home <3 xxx

Five days in Sydney and I feel like I could conquer the world.

Virgin Blue have a fantastic attitude. The instructions on the overhead announcements were hilarious!

On my trip from Brisbane to Sydney I heard the following:
"Be sure to remove all baggage, and small children from the overhead lockers,"
"Mark will...

But I'm sure we'll bump into you lot today biggrin

She's on her way home now. We'll probably duck down and catch the final quarter and have a catch up with Dad.

Definitely see you later this arvo/evening biggrin

I was very warm, a moment ago. Though it's all been sucked away now, into the room. I moved too far from my blanket and the warmth was swept upwards. I found a jumper on the floor and put it on, stringing my iPod through the neck-hole as I pulled it down over my body.

I had a nice day today. There were Mary-Janes in...

Why do so many women love Jeff Buckley?

Here is what he had to say on New Years, 19##.

New Year Prayer

You, my love, are allowed to forget
About the Christmas you just spent stressed out in your parents house.

You, my love, are allowed to shed
The weight of all the years before, like bad disco clothes,
Save them for a night of...

My family lives in Lismore - you know that! And my parents both lecture at the uni.
thefuckoffkid:
So, OK, the Buckley Confessions.

I saw him play twice. Once in May '95 in San Francisco, then in Feb '96 in Melbourne. If you have the live CD (Mystery White Boy) I'm in the audience for about half the disc. Several songs from Melbourne and one from SF are featured.

Since then, to cut a long story short, I've become friends with a friend of Jeff's from the Columbia Grace days (she's on my Myspazz, and I last saw her when she was out here on the Carole King tour). I've also talked with Jeff's mother a few times. Like I said, it's a long story. smile

I had a great time at Rook's birthday gathering last night, I saw some new faces and old. And I swear to god, I will never get sick of that 'Things' game..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THIS WEEK TO:

Sway, the young and beautiful,
Rook, the masculine and incandescent &
Goldfish, the small and somewhat confused.

Minimal excitement, maximum expectation.

Other than that,...

Nothing wrong with "old duck" or referring to women as any kind of fowl.

It's affectionate not disparaging.

My little chickadee.

This is not a pleasant post.

This is not intended to compare the battle between the genders, whether one deserves more attention that the other. This is outlined separately to represent both data correctly.

Behind ever statistic there is a victim, regardless of gender or age.

This is what I'm learning today. Outlined, for your interest.

Women as victims

You can get episodes via www.warez-bb.org, even the season finale. That's where I get all my videos to make the clip videos.

Just based on my observations and what I've learned kind of in relation to that (writing something sort of off, but still on that topic) more than anything else seems to be that yes male violence is more prevalent and probably more common, but I don't know whether its a purely a genetic thing, but I think based on what I've seen percentage wise less men will report violence against them. I've wondered whether a lot of this has to do with the way we're raised, and the way society seems to construct itself and roles that our genders are meant to play. I've known people in most positions in this situation.

I do agree there are definitely differences in why they wouldn't report violence against them, and personally I could understand how someone could get to the stage they believe that someone could take away their children.

Woo-hoo! I just got an extension for my assignment.

Instead of four weeks reading and 3,000 words in fourty-eight hours, I have until Sunday at 5pm.

My back hurts. I did some of the exercises that my old chiropractor prescribed ages ago. And then some that another chiropractor prescribed slightly less ages ago, and it seemed to make it feel better. I would like to run for forty minutes every morning, go to the gym in the afternoon, then do those exercises each night. But, I'd prefer to play computer and...
