Though I truthfully wanted her not that room

gramsci:
Gramsci is an Italian neo-Marxist. He's regarded as the founder of modern Autonomous Marxist thought. He completely by-passed Stalinist and Leninist ideas and approached Marxism from a democratic and far more progressive angle.

He wrote most of his work from a prison cell -Mussolini wasn't a fan-. Prison Notebooks is his major work. The Italian branch of Autonomous Marxism is really great. If you can get a grip on it, it is one of the best tools you'll have for engaging in debates with rightwingers, because it totally moves away from authoritarianism and focuses on the benefits of voluntary collectivism, self-management and shared-ownership.

For a modern take checkout Italian professor Antoni Negri's Empire -currently in Jail on trumped up charges from the 1970s-. It's been called the Communist Manifesto for the 21st century.

Other noteable points of...

Well it's a beautifal day out side, I am going to find myself a nice place to read my continuing education on communist theory, "Revolution Betrayed" by Leon Trotsky.
