Curse my CD buying compulsion!
Ah well, at least Im happy with what I bought.
epiphany:
Tell us what you bought! Inquiring minds want to know! wink Next time I'm in town hopefully we'll get to hang out more. Phoenix was a good show. I thought it was well received...

So, I saw Call Me Alice the other night, they were good. And I saw some of the SGAZ people, and Epiphany, that was peachy keen.

So, there is this guy who lives in my living room now. His name is Seth, and I knew him in high school. He seems to oscillate between hardcore fundamentalist Christianity and crazy bastardhood. But overall he is on...

Hi sweet thing! Thanks for coming to the show the other night! It was great to meet you. I hope you had fun. I'm sorry we didn't get to hang out more. It was a hectic night and was over in a blink of an eye. Hopefully we can hang out more next time we come to town. I hope your new roommate works out!
eponine:
i wish i had a strange person in my living room.
i could throw things at him and act like it was someone else.
or stick duct tape to him.
or glue cheerios to his hair.

Ive been checking the Weather Channels website compulsively, hoping this giant blob of green will head south. No matter, its a frigid 77 degrees outside. What an exciting life I lead.

Thats not all Ive been doing. Ive been scheming up a plan to get my best friend in town for like, one night. Specifically tonight so we can see Epiphanys band. The scheming isnt...

My day has been good, comestibles-wise. I FINALLY made rice that was edible! Later, I had a huge bowl of chocolate peanut butter ice cream.

The part of my day, where I was stuck in traffic, with no air conditioning for a very long time, that part sucked.

When I dont feel so packed with foodstuffs, I will take a walk. I hope it rains...

Ive suddenly become good at the at Population Tire.
It's lassie!

I drank too much Kool-Aid before I started working out, now I feel nauseated. But much like the post office, I shall let nothing interfere with the swift completion of my appointed rounds.

I was expecting more drunken debauchery yesterday. But on the other hand, I got to spend the evening with a charming...

I have a crush on the Cheat. Oh, and also Bruce Campbell.

Good profile you have and choice in tattoo. So long and thanks for all the fish. Happy belated birthday. Eerie birthday you have, maybe I'll tell you about it sometime.

Advice from one young, aspiring writer to another? Read. Read everything you can. From classics to crap; you'll learn something in everything you read. And, of course, try to write every day.

Ah, yes, homestarrunner. I've long resisted the pull.

Im feeling optimistic about the future.

Ive now watched the first season of Buffy: The Vampire Slayer.
I am playing Castlevania: Pants of Darkness, or what ever its called, habitually.
Dead or Alive: Extreme Beach Volleyball keeps working its way back into the Xbox.
*sings* One of these things is not like the other

A potential third roommate might be coming up. This would be...

rickroyal:
Heh. That first season of Buffy was kooky. My fav has to be "The Puppet Show."

KaZaa is a good source for porn, but it's static. There's not much turnover in the porn that's there. I think I've downloaded most everything from it. So.

School starts in 22 days, Epiphanys band plays here in 12 days and I turn 21 in 6 days.

Tomorrow, I am going to be 800$ poorer, stupid tuition.

Hmm. School out in AZ sounds really cheap. Damn.

And I have a feeling conjoined twins can do some pretty remarkable sexual favors. Or, at least, pretty freakish ones. Kinda the same thing.
epiphany:
Looking forward to seeing you next weekend birthday boy!!! Whooo hooo!!! smile

Ouch re $ for school tuition......

P.S - Thanks again sooo much for helping with the promotions!

Excelsior!
I MUST fill out applications today.
Their seem to be three places that are hiring, are nearby, and not totally crappy.

They are:

Barns and Noble
This is low on my list. It has the strictest dress code, is farthest away, and only hiring for mornings. But on the other hand, its hard too beat cheap books as an employee benefit.

Hot Topic
They...

I am a crotchety old fart. Or at least I am turning into one. Or maybe I am just turning into a mute. I havent been saying much of anything lately. Im being generally uncommunicative.

My lack of comments isnt because I have been away from the site, its because I cant think of anything to say. Imagine being gagged with writers block, which about...

Being gagged with writer's block (lovely phrase, btw) always makes me wish I could crack my skull open and dig the words out. I know they're in there, but they're afraid to come out.

I actually worked with a mute not long ago and he was rather communicative.

Ah, but if you were Silent Bob you'd have to look after Jay, which I suspect would be difficult.
epiphany:
I think sometimes there just isn't anything to say. It'll probably pass. Maybe you should go outside and play. Have you been being a shut-in again?

I'm mailing you some stuff today. I tried to email you to let you know but it bounced back. I think your Spam-guard denied me....WAH!!! frown

I keep getting dragged away from the computer before I have a chance to make an update here.

Plants are green, and the sky is gray. The rainy season is here. And I have a reasonably sized stack of books to read, including Lovecraft, John Stewart, and that damnable Howard Zinn, whose book I STILL havent finished. I just cant get into it, maybe I...

Thunderstorms are very cool.
Being blamed for all the sins of white man, not cool.
Both have happened to me in the last 24 hours.

Whats your cool/not cool?

Cool: Arriving hours early to have a soundcheck before a gig and getting to backline your gear on stage so it's all ready to go.

Uncool: Getting a phone call 5 minutes before the first band plays and being told you need to move all your equipment and arriving at the club where everyone is touching all of your gear when you told them to leave it alone until you got there.

That's how the gig started out. I guess it ended up being ok in the end. Oh well that's the breaks...Onward to the next one this Sunday in Newport Beach, CA. Hopefully people will come...

This has got to be one of the most depressing things I have ever read. I dont think I am the greatest thing to happen to mankind. So me settling down wont herald in an age of stupid. But the idea that finding someone you love will remove your creative drive bothers me.
lemonkid:
Emile Cioran Wrote

". . . the feeling of being everything and the evidence of being nothing." I happened upon this phrase in my youth and was overwhelmed by it. Everything I felt in those days, and everything I would feel from then on, was summed up in this extraordinary banal formula, the synthesis of expansion and failure, esctasy and impasse. Most often it is not in a paradox but in a truism that revelation appears.
