i have been on hiatus from SG cause the damn cable company cut me off,right now i have my cell phone hooked to my laptop to look at all the pretty girly pictures. yay!!!!

I've got the archos 20 gb recorder. I really like it. It a USB hard drive or a stand alone MP3 player/recorder.

I've gotten it to work under RH 8.0 with mixed results. It works fine as long as you're only reading from it. It's just a big FAT32 partition and Linux vfat support is sometimes flakey.

The only known problem I had with it was mounting it. You need to have the unit on before you plug in the USB cable. You also have to manually mount it since hotplugging won't create a mount point for you. Ususally
mount -t vfat -o[ mount options] /dev/sda1 /archos
will work.

hey, first try and go to "craigslist.com" in nyc and look around for people looking for roommates and apartment listings...this is a website for nyc people only...alot of people don't know about it and that's good for you...most of the apts are no fees and you can find a good place in the east village or lower east side for cheap(cheap in nyc terms). if you have no luck...get back to me and i'll try to help
