I've got a totally dissimilar situation, I've got to spend all the money I can each quarter so I can continue to get the money I need to keep our supplies well stocked. If I don't use it I lose it. Silly system, I just have to make sure that the stuff I do get stocked up will be stuff that we will use and won't expire.

That was really nice of you to let your friend stick around...I bet you and I would have lots of fun just lounging around and talking. Maybe we'll get to that point eventually.
A co-worker of mine at Sylvan keeps bailing on me and it's starting to annoy the shit out of me. He's really nice and he helps keep me motiviated about the teaching, etc. But we make plans just to grab something to eat and at the last minute, I can't find him and he doesn't answer his phone...just lame. I have had enough.
