One more day till my busy ass weekend. It's not going to be a hateful busy weekend... just a busy weekend.
Work tomorrow, then Underground
on Friday. Gotta start the weekend off right, eh?
Then Saturday I have to get up fairly early because I'm still doing the swimming thing. Even though the water is getting fucking cold as hell, I'm still really enjoying it....

Warning - this is one of those pointless posts.
So I've been having a lame issue all day... I keep writing and 8 for the month number instead of a 10 when I date anything. It took a while but I finally put my finger on it... it's this whole "octo" thing at the beginning of "October". "Octo" means 8 which leads you to think...

i actually knew that...but that's cool that you were thinking...i like smart guys...xoxo
I'm really enjoying my swimming routine.
Although, the water was extremely cold today... good thing I brought my wetsuit.
The one problem is that it's not an ordinary wetsuit... it's a scuba wetsuit. It's a little thicker than the ones that the surfers wear since it's meant to keep you warm when your 60-70 feet under water. So, due to the extra thickness, it makes...

Sounds like a good time to go check out some scuba gear
Actually if you head down to a good scuba / dive shop they can point you in the right direction as to some good weight options to compensate for the added boyancy of the thicker dive suit, skin divers have to do this all the time so they can free dive with a thicker suit. Talk to my brother FellOnEarth about it, he used to run the dive shop for Sports Challet and knows his stuff. I really envy you, I got into diving right before joining the Navy and haven't been since. I really miss swimming in the ocean. I guess it's typical luck I join the Navy and end up in some remote fuck-ass town in the middle of the desert. Have fun this weekend!

I can't imagine going swmming at the beach anymore, it's gotten so chilly out. Even sitting inside here, I'm cold!
I actually do think that might be it - my bed is now so comfortable that I'm not used to it. I hope that soon, I do get used to it. I need my sleeeeep.
*sigh* Alot of people are right. I should just keep my door locked. I hate the idea because it's my dorm and it's already a 13 x 10 space. The door is already closed which I do unwillingly; locking it would be like..the ultimate suckiness. I shouldn't have to worry about my space being invaded in school housing by anyone, door locked or not. I guess I just don't feel it's correct that in order to live how the school provides, I need to lock everything al all times. What's the point of paying more to live at school where I have to take as much precaution as I would in a house? But I am actually looking forward to calling the front desk can getting the cops up there next time.

Still behind at work. I might be going into the office on Saturday again to try and take care of a few things while it's quiet. We'll see how I feel.
Went out to a new club my promoter friends started up a few weeks ago. It's doing pretty well for a Tuesday night club. I don't know if I'll be able to make it...

I'm babysitting this weekend, so after she goes to bed on Saturday night I'm sure I'll be around (Unless I'm still feeling unwell).

im glad that you are out of the teaching situation. i really think that the teacher education courses and student teaching REALLY make the difference...i love it, but i was also prepared for the amount of work. maybe you would like tutoring at a sylvan learning center...the lessons are prescribed in advance for you, you only work with 3 kids at a time (sometimes 2) and its very stressfree....try to use that biology degree...what about working as a vet assistant or at a zoo? i often think i would love to volunteer and work with the animals. im leaving SG because of money...i put a freeze on my credit card until its paid off. i just spent 500 for health insurance, 900 for this grad course...as soon as i get that fulltime position at sylvan i will be all set, but there's no timeline for that except that the latest would be after the first of the year...
yes we will stay in touch...

Well, one more day left of teaching. Every day I stay just further confirms that this definitely isn't for me. I'll be working another 4 hours at my old/new job this Saturday to get things organized for my full return on Monday. The funny thing is that all my decision making about not teaching seems to re-sparked a desire for a friend of mine to...

Last day of teaching!!
We've got 2 field trips planned in this class - none of my others have had actual take-the-bus-and-go-somewhere trips. One is touring old chapels and texts in Milwaukee, and the other is the same thing sort of, but in Chicago!
Creepy people suck. Maybe I'll have enough balls to go for another walk to the beach in another week or two before it starts getting colder out.

I find it highly amusing that the day after I chose to give up teaching I had my worst day ever. On Tuesday I had to kick one kid out of class because he wouldn't stop talking and then started to talk back to me. I hated to do it, but I can't let him stop me from teaching the rest of the class because...

Lol! They sent a married one.. Just goes to show how wierd those people are.. I mean, just what are they trying to promote here?
Sorry the teaching job didn't work out.
But like you said in your other entry, perhaps pursuing something in biology (your degree, right?) would be better? Atleast you got the chance to try this out and see if the shoe fit. So now you can explore other options.
I actually like my upper level class because A) the group is like..16 people
B) they are soooo friendly! I don't see any of them (besides my sister, who got me into the class) outside of the class hours, but when in the class, they are so talkative and friendly and have a sense of humor and I adore the instructor, she's just wonderful.. My god. I'm so glad that after this semester, I'll be a junior..

The plans for world domination have been side-tracked. There was a jam in the copy machine when the flyers for the meeting were being printed up and they never went out, so no meeting. CURSE YOU XEROX!!!!!! You win this round.

Wow, today was a easy day. Yes I was busy, but I was left alone to do my work and time just flew by.
I even had time to plan out the rest of my week.
Tuesday
10:00am - call attorney for information on new case
10:30am - print flyers for new organization's meeting date and time
5:00pm - begin handing out flyers for organization...

The weekend comes to an end on a decent note.
So, on Friday I waste my lunchbreak to go to the cable company's office to get a new box only to find out that after I've hooked it up... IT DOESN'T WORK EITHER!!!
Right away I got on the phone with their customer service and they tried the same crap again... after all my complaining...

You're lucky it was just the cable company and not your cell service provider (I'm still planning to exact revenge on Cingular for royally screwing me). A 6 month dicount on your cable bill!?! Crap, that's almost worth the extra misery over a weekend. Still though, I know how you feel, I got screwed with a "new" cell phone that never worked (or it was bad cell service, that was never really figured out). My phone was stolen in transit upon return shipping and I was only reimbursed for $100 out of the $170 it cost me (friggin' UPS). Meanwhile, my service provider wanted to charge me for a month of service I was unable to receive including a cancellation fee (since I was frustrated with trying to deal with their lies that I wouln't be charged during my "suspension of service" while the phone was being repaired or replaced). Anyways, long story short, it was the biggest waste of time and money trying to clear the whole mess up. I still am trying to figure out how I'm going to recoup my losses from Cingular (I know I'll never see the money, but I figure I need to make them pay for being such greedy bastards)...
Sometimes I wish I knew a few good bar tenders myself, but then again, I rarely drink anyways (oh except for those empty bottles by my desk).
I've noticed that the SG site has been down a couple of times this month too, so I don't think it's a problem with your computer, still, extra memory never hurts.

I don't know what to write about today...
Work still frustrates me... no big news there. But now my cable box is acting up. It shuts itself off every 15 minutes. I'm going to have to call the cable company and bring it in to them to get one that works properly. Of course, I'll probably have to go on my lunch break tomorrow to...

I spoke to my brother today to update him on my plans to go home for Labor Day Weekend and he informed me that my parents have moved my Grandmother in. Apparently she has been having back pains that keep her from doing a lot of things. So my mom and my aunt forced her to move in with my parents until she can get...

I hope I get better roommates, too. Ugh. I think I'd die if I couldn't handle them.
Ah, grandmas. One of mine is pretty nice and the other is..a bit ignorant. She just bought a new computer, printer, scanner, all the jazz, and she forgets how to even work the computer. "Okay, I just turned this on.. What do I do now?" Ugh. My dad hates having to listen to that. Sometimes when she calls, they hand me the phone to give it to the other parent while it's still ringing, but as they hand it to me, push the 'speak' button and then I end up having to talk to her. Bah! She drives us all nutso, really.
Hm. I can't really look up to her, though. As for my other grandma, I just don't know her too well. My mom sometimes gives me the impression I'm not good enough to go to the family gatherings, everyone lives 5 minutes away, so I don't get to spend much time with her either. I'm not really sure who I look up to.
Hah..end of the month?! It's almost here! Only what, another week?
