I am starting to feel a bit better about work. I am still working too many hours but I have won a couple small battles that will make things more tolerable. The next six days are going to suck hours wise but because the exec and the owner are both going to some two day seminar it should be tolerable mentally.

So despite the best efforts of the wife to improve my mood and send me off to work with a spring in my step I walked into a bit of a cluster fuck this morning. The owner is their the truck has come and gone and I have four guys on the clock with no prep list and three banquets to do. I was a bit salty and in spite of the fact that that we are scheduled at the same time the exec is about an hour late. I had a meeting with the owner because he asked me if i was ok one too many times. It seems to have had an effect at least today. We'll see how long it lasts.
