Okay, finally saw Down By Law again...don't know what my problem was the first time I saw it. Had I just seen Pulp Fiction and expected films to have ACTION? Had I just seen soem Hal Hartley and expected films to be VERBOSE?
Anyway, Down By Law is good. If I had to rank them...I still think I have a slight preference to Stranger Than Paradise. I'm not sure why. It's bleaker than Dead Man or Down By Law. Maybe that's why.
