When I was a SENIOR in high school we were studying Oedipus, i think. There were photos of Roman buildings and colmumns in our textbook and a fellow student of mine actually raised his hand and asked...

"Are these actual pictures taken during ancient Rome?"

Right now I am not really in any specific field. Most of the work I do now consists of tweaking other people's work. Mostly corporate stuff, transactional or litigation/mediation prep. Although I have helped out on a few appellate court briefs recently. Mostly stuff to do with free speech, activism/protests. There most of what I have done has been grunt research. Years ago I did some misdemeanor prosecutions, clerked for a while for a juvenile court judge and I have done a bunch of pro bono family law stuff, mostly representing interests of children estranged from their parents or seeking emancipation. If there is any area I really feel competent in it is the child advocacy. Sadly it is also the area that I almost never get paid for.

Did a little bartending the other night at my brother in law's recording studio. He had a party for the Grammy Association. I got to meet Jimmy Jam and some music industry people.
