9mm is a good enough weapon. I kind of liked the Makarov 9mmx18 I used to have, but if I were ever to be in another position where I need a pistol I am totally into that .45acp. If I shoot someone I want them to stay down. Takes too long to stop someone with 9mm. When the guy on angel dust came out of his house with a shotgun after the sheriffs dept. flushed him with tear gas they filled him full of 9mm slugs and he didn't slow. Fortunately we had fire hoses ready because the tear gas canisters tend to start fires, so we were there. We just turned the hoses on his happy ass and blew him down with water pressure.
Oh and I would go with the tat, personally. The piercing will be a bitch to deal with come time to head off to drill, and especially next time you do your 2 weeks.
