Well, my mother always told us stories about her family's past - it was her direct ancestors who founded and established all of the Northern states in Mexico in 1582. We all knew that, but piecing the names all together was the issue. That part is done. The biggest mystery surfaced when I discovered mty dad's family came from Cypto-Jews who fled Portugal in 1722 into Mexico. Many of the odd things my grandmother used to do now make sense.
