Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday season, I sure did, but man am I glad it's over. The tree and decorations are down, I can clean up and start back up on some projects that would have made too much of a mess while also trying to wrap/make gifts and host family.

It’s nice to be home for Christmas! It’s my yearly trip that I’m taking to see my parents. I’m looking forward to it for an entire year. As time passes it’s getting harder to leave them behind for another year to see them again. I managed to see the city a bit, do some shopping for items I don’t find in the US and also visit with close family and friends. Two more days and it’s time to fly back. Soon the new year is here, so hope you are looking forward to it and have some fun plans for New Year’s Eve.

Have you ever read "The Birthday Book" @btflday777 ? A coworker brought it in and it gives your brithdate a title, mine was " The Day of Elegance" hahaha! We just went out for pizza and a beer (okay...well....black currant cider for me). What did you end up doing besides staying home?

I have not heard of The Birthday Book, but it sure sounds fun and I'll check it out. He he, nice title for your special day, there is no doubt you have Elegance in your presence! :) But I know what you mean, I wonder how this book is finding a correlation of people and their birthdays! (astrology, hmm, maybe, gulp) Pizza and black current cider sure sounds good, I'm sure it was tasty and fun! My day was filled with many phone calls, in the morning from Germany, in the afternoon and evening from friends on the east coast and later from the west coast. I also called my former university professor who shares the same birthday with me. It was a beautiful sunny fall day, so went for a walk in the area to take in some sunshine. In the afternoon I unpacked the present I gave myself, it's a guitar pedal that is simulating a "Leslie" speaker, I'm sure you know the sound of swooshy-wooshy-swirly-rotary-speaker-goodness from many classic rock songs. So I played around with that and enjoyed making beautiful guitar sounds. The celebration continued Wednesday night with a concert in a small venue in DC and I'll go back there again on Saturday for another show. It was nice to attend this concert, since some of the proceeds are donated to a DC kitchen for the less fortunate. Today is Thanksgiving and will join friends for a low key dinner. Wish you a happy Thanksgiving with all your loved ones! <3

Halloween has come and gone, and while I didn't have a ton of holiday spirit, I managed to scrape some up and decorate (okay, I left decorating to the boys while I was at work, drinking whiskey sours on the clock) just in time for trick-r-treaters and my dad coming over from Seattle for some Halloween cheer.
