When I was "babysitting" like 12 kids one Saturday night...most of them my age or older. Their families were visiting Northern WI and staying in the mansion my mom used to clean on the weekends. They wanted someone "local" to big bad scary WI to sit with the kids. I was incredibly shy, plus I felt a little weird being there as a peer and getting paid for it. My babysitter woke me up at about 3 in the morning, holding a rolling pin and looking rather upset, told me there was someone trying to break into our house. She made me go to the door to scare them away. I was about 7 or 8. It was the single most scary thing I've ever had to do, because there was a guy in my garden.
