First and foremost...

those of you who keep up on my adventures regularly are familiar with the lead supporting character that appears in this journal. some call him brandon, but i call him The Pants.

i cannot properly explain this nickname. it's derived from a mixture of his highschool nickname "Goldy" and "pants." (the pants part was most-likely inspired by the infamous Mr. Show "lie...

I will definitely harass you about going to shows when I get back in MA.

I have a pants, her name is Mo. I'm sure you'll meet her eventually.
minimalism:
'Bout time you fuckers reserved. I was getting the impression that you wanted to be the 81st name on the list.

tonight was fun. tonight was the kinda night at manray that reminds me why i go out dancing every fucking saturday night without fail. dj gumbercules knew i was in a bouncy mood, so he just rattled out so many high-energy songs that i ended up sitting out only about five or six songs all night. crazy. it's still difficult dancing in sneakers, i really...

Awww. Thanks so much for showing up! I had a lovely time. I would have thanked you more promptly, but I just got home.

I am SO awesome that I am wearing my brand new Cramps shirt and rocking out to The Supremes at this very moment! biggrin

Vertigo is such a great movie. The animated part at the end when he goes insane amuses the hell out of me, though not as much as James Stewart's eyeliner. I can't decide if it is completely jarring and rediculous or very effective.

Let me know if you're ever in Providence. I'd say I like the music at club hell better on rock'n'roll high school/ 80's nights. The people at Manray are definitely much cooler and the dance floor is less packed.

so, i finished all of the sketch work for the first draft of the comic i want to submit to the Small Press Expo this year. the seven page draft is written in full and composed (roughly) how it will appear. this weekend, i want to tighten up the dialogue and make it sound more lyrical. i need to stage some of the action a...

Thanks for the advice, after reading my journal again after sobering up, I realized it make sense, um well grammatically, but is full of gaps and probably only really means anything those unfortunate few who have had to sit through my endless retelling of the drama.

I hate making girls cry. Especially girls that I thought didn't care enough about me that I could say anything that would make them cry.

The key thing to learn from that entry is that I got the discount at ManRay. I'm still stoked about that.

Awesome you are drawing a comic. It's so very OC of you (yes, you may kick me for saying that).

...

fuck, I should go hang out with Holden Caufield too. He does that disillusioned not-caring thing so well. I need a little bit of that.

Are you gonna be at ManRay tonight? I'm not sure if I'm gonna go there or check out The Crypt. Right now I feel like I might just go to bed.

Thanks bro. I think you caught the gist of what I was attempting to say.

miriam lives in queens. she is probably about 22 years old (all i can remember is that she is older than my brother but younger than me). she has a 4 year old daughter. her younger brother, reda is pursuing a degree in criminal justice.

about 10 years ago, i was on vacation with my dads family. we got the "hotel phone call" at 2am....

I don't know his gang name, but he's supposedly the leader he is tall and has kind of a square head. Hmmm. He's also a graphic designer. We have space in the same studio.

You, like, totally get me.

Yes, drawing would be rad! I am definitely still up for that, it just kinda slipped my mind and then the last trip was so insane anyway. I probably won't be back around til the summer, but I'm sure we'll be in touch. After all, you know where to find me a minimum of 1/12 of the day...

i feel incredibly empty today.

i mean, not totally empty. like, all of the art stuff and intelligent stuff and continuing-to-want-to-live stuff is still there and functioning at peak efficiency, but i got that sadness still that i can't let go.

i said last night that i wasn't an emo boy. i'm an artist, i don't whine, i brood. haha. therefore, i am cooler than...

WARNING: Frustrated, bitter entry...

not-so-good night on the dance floor. i was abnormally tired and the pile of sushi i ate was weighing me down. dinner was fun (especially since i got to hang with granny for the first time since december); but the actual food was a bit dissapointing. i dropped 30 bucks, easy on sushi and it was not even on par with...

I agree about live music these days even though you go to way more shows than I do. Is it the fault of Boston though, or just music these days? I think bands in general are less energetic, maybe its the influence or emo, pop punk, and hipsters all of which make bland live performances.

Have you ever considered starting your own band? It doesn't really matter if you can play an instrument or not. I know Sid sings and I think she should be in a band (she studys music and everything, how could she not be?).

I agree about that sushi. I've had worse. But I've also had better that was cheaper. Afters some of us went back to Sid's place and hung there. That was fun and chill, but I did kind of miss dancing at ManRay (didn't get enough dancing in at the B&D ball).
fenchurch:
Yeah that sushi place was extremely subpar. I agree with the above (had worse, had better that was cheaper).

VOMIT ON THE INDIE ROCKERS.
Never mind that I am a college kid who likes indie rock, because you know I'm only a pretentious dick when I really truly have nothing better to do. Which is never. I think that made sense. Ugh, stop talking. Okay.

Everybody needs a little sister.
Or not.
I don't have one.. so, I can't back that original statement up.

Have a good rest of the weekend.

so, the big-ass, high-pressure meeting went much better than expected today. although, there was an obvious amount of resistance and stubborness on the part of all of the people that i implied may not have been doing their jobs thoroughly enough. to make a long story short, one of the employees sorta threw down the gauntlet and stated numerous times that i should have to...

What an awesome title for a flick. Is there a follow up? Perhaps "Rimjob for Belezebub"? "Assfuck for the Antichrist"?

When you see Minimalism, tell him that I'm better dressed than him. wink

so, i'm sitting here cleaning my room and all i hear is someone singing (not a recording mind you) outside. bits and pieces are coming in through my closed window:

...i am waiting for your breath...
oh sweet death...

one last caress sweet death!

I GOT SOMETHING TO SAY...
I RAPED YOUR MOTHER TODAY...

lol. good luck with your meeting tomorrow.

the HR/eric morris show was great, happy to report.
you must be referring to the pool at the hotel that was utterly destroyed that weekend. i heard the place was on a kind of 'lockdown' the last day after a lot of damage had been done (couches thrown out of windows, etc.). i had no idea who those little girls were, but that was an absolutely phenomenal set by the adicts. how'd you manage to miss that?!
now i've got to decide whether i want to see MDC in baltimore today or upper darby, pa tomorrow.. hmm.

i decided today, while wondering the aisles of THE ART STORE (which, on a side note, has been purchased by DICK BLICK, a far superior store that i have missed ever since the one back home got knocked out of business by a fucking discount arts and crafts store where fucking soccer moms went shopping to do their "scrap-booking" puke and whenever i had to get...

last night, i had another fucked up and shitty dream:

i was in a public restroom, taking a leak in a urinal when suddenly i realized that i was pissing blood. it occurred to me then, that i must've contracted some fucked-up STD and almost immediately upon thinking "STD" i turned my head and realized that ANIMAL the singer of the punk band THE ANTI-NOWHERE...

sounds like you'd be ripe for the interviewing. I'm thinking of having a Blind Ambition booze night where SG folks could just show up, have some free booze and be interviewed in exchange. I just worry that it will end up being VERY expensive.

This project is meant to be a collaboration. Since you are a writer / artists I'd love for you to be involved. My eventual goal is to have the work/interviews collected published as a book. I am currently freelancing as a web designer and plan on publishing what I have on the net this June. I'd be more than happy to promote your zine through my site and pass out flyers for you along with my own. Just let me know on what level you'd like to be involved.

Thanks.
