Heat is coming to the desert, she was a tad warm today, 38 Degrees C, the dust is up and in the air, and the sun sank defeated in an aortic blood red pool over the sandhills a little while ago.

The dark is trying to steal the suns warmth still, but the heat is in everything, it wont win this time, but my guts...

An old sergent major of mine once said to me "If you can't cry, you're not human", after a particularly distressing incident. He had very real credibility and I've never forgotten it.

G'day, got to you late, Melbourne weather is pleasant for now, stay out of the sun mate and don't drink too much water, you'll go rusty. Cheerssmile

A whole night with SG after 18 days in the field - Bliss.

The flood waters which began 2 years ago in the desert are beginning to receed, and we have had 38 degrees C and winter finished today I'm told.

Queensland expects more flooding this year so we'll get a top up.

AND!!!

It's the Innamincka and Birdsville races over the next 2 weekends!...
