Be careful if you ask people to leave a line in your journal/or email you, the group seems to get quite a few new members per week, so you could end up with your journal half full of "I want to join the... because..." posts.
Just evidence of being active on the site has worked for other groups. I think it is only the BDSM group that has a stricter entry criteria.
Unless you count the Fight Club group....

Well it would be nice to own a group but the ones I want have all been made. I wouldn't know what to say when making one either! I'll be all like "er... because SG doesn't have this group- thats why I'm making it!" lol I'm not good at that sort of thing
I've thought of one! A tattoo design group. A group primarily for people to submit designs so people thinking of getting a tattoo have a place to look. Sadly I don't think SG will have a need for it

Good luck with the exams, sometimes if youre stressed it helps just to go for a walk, parks are good, just walk and enjoy your surroundings and concentrate on them instead of whats stressing you out.

Shibori is a technique where you resist dye fabric with pressure. There's a kind called arashi where you wrap folded cloth around a pole and then wrap twine around that and scrunch it together, then paint dye aste on it or dip it into a dyebath. The dye stays on the surface, but can't seep into the lower/ scrunched levels. Another kind uses stitching to resist the dye. You embroider the cloth with particular stitches and then pull them tight to resist the dye. A third kind uses pressure from clamps to do the job. You fold the cloth into different patterns, then clamp it (with different shaped objects holding it in place for different designs). The objects holing it and the layers both resist the dye, so you end up with lovely, ever-changing patterns (which sounds contradictory unless you see it, then you'll know what I mean).
