The new Raveonettes album is cool. All in Bb major instead of minor this time. I guess I'm a sucker for a band with a gimmick. As long as it's a good gimmick. They continue to remind me of J&MC, but I think it's just the fuzz factor. Dunno, I've only listened to the new one once.

The only thing I've read of David Sedaris was this play that he and Amy wrote together " The Book of Liz".
It was pretty funny, but would have been better to see live. Any suggested reading from David Sedaris?

I ordered my tickets for Bumbershoot yesterday.

It's gonna be great, a bunch of NW bands, REM, Wilco, and I'm going to see Radiohead!

I do love me some Thom Yorke.

That makes up for this being Monday and me needing to go sit at a desk for 8 hours.

Just finished watching Swing Kids. I've seen that movie dozens of times, but the ending still chokes me up. Am I alone in this?

I also continue to wonder why all of the swing kids in Germany didn't have a trace of a german accent, but all the Nazis did. Fun things to ponder at 1 a.m. on a Saturday night.

Wow, the new Swords Project album is really cool...now I wish I would have gone to the cd release last night at Berbati's instead of mini golf in Wilsonville. Too many happy suburban families.
