Tired.....but happy.

Seattle weekend #1 has concluded. Bellingham, though quaint, was rather boring, as 90% of the town was closed when we arrived on Saturday afternoon. Note to self: never visit a college town when school is not in session. The theater was beautiful, though, very ornate. The nicest setting in which I've seen a children's play performed, a far cry from high school gymnasiums and theaters....

Yay, I'm actually getting out of Portland for two whole days! A friend and I are driving to Seattle tomorrow morning. Well, Bellingham actually. What is there to do in Bellingham? But we should be in Seattle by tomorrow night. Ah, nightlife in a different city.

Damn, now I know it's true. When both the Mercury and Willamette Week tell me the Blackbird is closing, I guess I have to believe it. One of my favorite places to see shows, and the only bar I know of that had an entirely vegetarian menu, closing at the end of this month.

Bleah. Mondays suck anyway. Mondays suck even more when one hasn't received an adequate night's rest. And it wasn't from lack of trying either. I just lay in bed with my eyes closed, trying to fool my body into thinking it was sleeping. My body was having none of it, however.
