There's nothing like going to Pirate Thursday and seeing a large amount of people, getting pleasantly buzzed (more so than usual, which is saying a lot for me), taking some goofy pictures, and staying out far too late. Work today would have sucked, but luckily, I called in sick.
Hey, I had a headache. That's sort of approaching sick.
I feel so naughty. I hardly...

What a great weekend. In the time since I last updated, I got to meet EnergyChannel's wee one, his 5-year old son Elliot, for the first time. He is possibly the most adorable kid ever, although given my lack of exposure to kids, I did feel a bit out of my element. Overall it went well though.
After Elliot left on Friday, we both had...

it was good seeing you for the 5 minutes i did

You know those people that you meet in life, usually by pure chance, that you just seem to fit with? Like a key to a lock, a hand to a glove, a foot to a mouth. Okay, maybe not so much that last one. I was thinking about these kinds of people on my drive home tonight, thinking how truly amazing it is to have...

Those arethe one'sto hang on to. Eureka is not that far. My "tight" group now resides as follows: 2 in Eugene, Ore; 2 in Madison Wisconson; 2 in Marquette, Michigan; one [me] in San Francisco but moving to LA; 1 in Chicago. We all manage to get together somewhere once a year.

Yay for sunny days! I feel lucky that I got two people like that. My boy and my best friend who I would be dating in a hear beat if we weren't both involved with other people
It's great knowing I have people who really get me and love me regardless. Have a wonderful weekend!
I ordered new lenses for my glasses yesterday. I even splurged and got those transition ones that get dark when UV rays hit them. I'm ridiculously excited over the prospect of these, which just seals the deal on my true dork status.
The only problem is they had to take my glasses. Which leaves me wearing only my contacts. Hard contacts. It's not fun to...

The following was posted on my Friendster bulletin board by a good friend of mine. I'm not changing anything about it, so don't freak out about spelling or grammar errors. Just read it.

I have a horrible sense of direction though and would get lost a lot. I like oregon train and Odell lake much better.

Dude! Do you like the Red head girls or what?
The weekend went by far too quickly, as usual. I was underproductive, also as usual. I purchased three movies, coincidentally all beginning with H. Heathers, High Fidelity, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. Yay for new movies. Boo for work in 15 minutes.

... oh believe me, i didn't. i went to the store, bought steaks, then to the liquor store to buy 2 bottles of good wine, came home, cooked said steaks, drank some of said wine, and then went to the bar next door and played a few songs at open mic night, i wouldn't say i broke any laws...
Ah, Friday. How I love thee. Friday morning, I love thee less than Friday after 5, but what can ya do?

Wha? Emoticon free, I don't know if I can handle that.
I'm a bona fide QAF nut, due to having been a Hal Sparks nut. When I found out he was going to be in A) a new TV show, and B) about gay guys, including plenty of hot nekid man on man action I moved heaven and earth to get Showtime in time. I've missed precisely one original airing since then. I'm hopelessly addicted. And there it is, my whole sordid, guilty confession.
Season 3 is reeeally good. Interesting twists and turns galore.

It was a good weekend. Far too short, but good nonetheless. The Notwist show on Saturday was phenomenal, even though the venue (Dante's) isn't one of my favorites. They were amazing, and I'd totally see them again. People were lined up around the block to get in, the first time I had seen such a turnout for a show at Dante's. Luckily, we had tickets,...

I was thinking yesterday about the act of keeping an online journal, and how once you cancel or your account lapses or you get zotted or the site crashes, etc., how all of those random thoughts (much like this one) are just lost to you. Does anyone cut and paste their journal into a Word program so they can have it for all time? I...

I watched "The Butterfly Effect" the other day. The first time I saw a preview for this movie, I thought they got the title from that Ray Bradbury short story "A Sound of Thunder." The one about the group of people who go back in time to shoot dinosaurs as the ultimate in big game hunting. They are instructed to stay on a path and...
