You know a past relationship is memorabily bad when your ex boyfriends last name has become a way to describe a guy to stear clear from.

Cheryl: So, how was your night with Jake
Me: Good.
Cheryl: So, do you think it will go anywhere?
Me: I dont know. I think hes kind of a Hultberg.
Cheryl: That bad, huh?

You may remember me from such stories as Matthew McConougheys Penis--Austins Ambassador and Sandra Bullock--Homewrecker.

So, tonight I go downtown to the Boy Band Sing-a-long because, really, I loves me New kids on the block.

and im in line to go in, trying to call a friend who is running late and who walks by me? Quentin tarantino. And who is he with? Fiona Apple....

Was it the kind of dream where you are standing on an ancient sun god pyramid wearing a small almost see thruogh robe and thousands of naked women are screaming and throwing little pickles at you? Why am I the only one to have that dream?

Few things are more depressing than coming to realise that an ex is now doinig the things you wished he liked to do when you were a couple. Baseball games, roadtrips, little adventures you take for the sake of the adveture. He wasnt that TYPE. It wasnt his THINIG.

The only thing MORE depressing is coming to reaise he has become this person with the...

From an actual phone conversation with a customer
"....and the 19.99 media package provides unlimited MEdianet access..."

"what do you mean 'unlimited'."

"You know. Like. Unlimited."

"Yeah. What does that mean"

"like. No limit. "

"what do you mean"

"umm...as much as you want"

"oh. unlimited"

Yes. My job includes teaching people the English language.

There is a special place in hell for people who take other people's domains when they let them lapse and then do nothing with it.

such is the fate of my site for 4 years, bluevalentine.net

I never though the internet would make feel so....emo.

So, I need a new domain.

I COULD take blue-valentine.org as it is the closest thing to what I had.......

THEbluevalentine.com or something like that.

A professional bdsm Mistress who had a work-related site lapsed on her payments when she evacuated for Katrina. Some Christian Right Fundamentalist group bought the domain name (as the title was obviosly BDSM related) and put up all these warnings "if you see something pornographic call this federal hotline" and biblical quotes about repentence.

bluevalentine.biz, bluevalentine.ws, bluevalentine.tv, and bluevalentine.name are all free plus you got tons of international ones you could register.

There was a discussion on one of the Ethiopia adoption listservs I belong to about having Ethiopia role models for our kids, which, honestly, seems like a strange thing to obsess about.

Anywho. Here was my post. and I kinda like it. So I'm putting it here so I don't forget

My hope is that with the people I already have in my life...

I posted this in the music board but fuck it...you'll see it here too:

If you don't know who he is, you should.

An Austin icon, Antone was the owner of Antone's, "The Home Of The Blues." But to say that he was just a club owner would be to say Muddy Waters was just some guy who liked to carry around a guitar. Clifford...

He found us a place to stay and gave us 2 additional nights to play to get a starving blues band back to NYC.

Many times hanging out at SXSW talking blues........

He was a giant, I am pretty crushed and I am in Salt lake right now moseying down that way.

It seems all of the albums I have listened to on the way down cannot ease the pain.

I have talked with Kim WIlson and Jimmy Vaughn all of whom are making it in one way or the other.

He gace alot of us a spotlight and alot of us a chance when there were none......

To Quote Mississippi John Hurt:

"Rest easy old friend for the lights in the sky tonight shine for you.."

I know alot of folks are coming home to say good bye.......Me included.

So, how does one go about learning to drive a stick shift?

I mean, I'd like to have options should I ever, say, need to buy a car. Or if I'm ever a contestant on Amazing Race.

My first idea is to rent a car with manual transmission, opt for all the insurance in the world, and go to town. Very slowly. While burning the...

I never really thought I'd ever be THAT person.

The sort of person who freaks right the fuck out at the thought of a high school reunion.

ME worry that my former classmates will notice my bling came from Target? ME worry that there wont be enough girls who are less pretty than I? ME worry that people will respond to me with "Oh. Divorced....

Ugh, reunions... I don't think high school reunions are such a big thing over here... my school didn't have one, at least which is probably just as well, as I would never ever go. Just the though makes me squirm!
sarcasticmenace:
I was too chicken to go to my reunion. However, I contacted the two people from high school who I still give a shit about, and we got together while they were in town. It made me feel a lot better about not going.

You, my darling, are an amazing woman, and if it's important to you to go to this thing, do it and have a blast. Remember that everyone else will be freaking out about it as well whether they admit it or not. I wish I could help out with the date part. Let me know how that goes. I miss you. kiss
