Everyone got so high on sugar during history, it was almost pointless to talk (castration was used as ..whooohahaha, in todays society "snarf"! "gulp!"). Cookies, brownies, rape, and castration do not a good discussion make.

Sugar,
I'm so high on you
Your so sweet
Lick you up or suck you down
Such a treat
To have
Candy kisses
Caramel tongue
Cherry lips

Happy Halloween Weekend...

I got my course schedule for next semester and it didn't have any of the course I need for my minor (Spanish) or possible major (Creative Writing). I already have had two Poly-Sci upper level classes done, and need to try out some lit courses before I make the decision for my major. Of course, I might still transfer. I spoke to the professor who's...

I saw Maria Kizito Friday night. It was about a Rwandan nun who let Tutsis and Hutu moderates into her convent, and then let soldiers, policemen, and neighbors in to to slaughter them with machetes (she even provided the gasoline to burn 500 of them alive with). She was put on trial in Belgium for the murder of 7,000 people, and ended up only serving...

anyhoot. i saw your posts about looking into schools to transfer too etc - i saw you were into poli sci, and that u chicago was one of the places you were considering. i'm not an undergrad - but i *am* a political scientist at u of c ... so if you have any questions, i'd be glad to help ya out.
just out of curiousity - what kind of poli sci might you be intersted in?

the campus in general is reallly great - very intellectual. but it's pretty hardcore here (the undergrads proclaim their allegiance to 'the life of the mind' and many seem proud that they came to the school 'where fun comes to die' - go figger). anyway. the atmosphere here is NOT super liberal - *but* there is activism and there *is* a commitment to an exchange of ideas here. there are lots of rich types here, and i suppose conservatives ... but there are good lefties, among the grads & undergrads.

anyway. hope that helps. if there's anything else ... let me know. i love to pimp my school smile

hey - no problem.
i actually know nothing about how long you need to be here before studying abroad ... but yea, i would guess a while.
one thing to look into here at chicago: it sounds like you're into comparative, which is cool. but i know (at the grad level) the comparative here is good (really good), but it's not what the dept is known for. so, you might wanna check what classes are offered/how often at the undergrad level. b/c there might not be a lot of comparative ... though i think they are in the process of hiring a new comparativist...
good luck!

I finally got the lead out and scheduled two HIV prevention workshops with the LBTQA group on campus. The Student Senate wants me to do a campus wide thing-I don't know if I can pull it together in time for the end of the year, perhaps I'll do it in January. My plan was to do workshops by groups by category at first, LB groups,...

good luck with the workshops and whatnot, im sure if you got someone to help you it would make things alot easier...although, it could also make things a bit more difficult, depending on the person. and yes, deep fried candy bar, does losely translate into heart attack. the book buying decision, i can under stand, i take hours trying to figure out what cds to buy, youd think it wouldnt be that hard being as i buy like 10 a week, but somehow i cant make it difficult. oh well.

I went to the bookstore yesterday and got Box Lunch: The Laypersons Guide to Cunnilingus and Kushiel's Dart. I made it to the store with about 15min to go before closing time. It was a tough decision, because I wanted to get Women and War, but couldn't get all three. (I usually buy one book at a time because of my budget). I'll get it...
