You must do the thing you think you cannot do. -- Eleanor Roosevelt.

I think I'm going to apply for study abroad for this summer, and perhaps the fall.
lilcupcakesjo:
I was thinking about doing the study abroad myself. I'm getting really tired of not seeing the world and would love to just throw myself into a culture and get a crash course in another language. I've got to look into that.

I hate people who think that:
Racism doesn't concern them and minorities should "get over it".

Seriously, what sort of ignorant asshole comes up with this stuff? I'm from the South, so using that excuse doesn't cut it.

thanx for the compliment on my 1st set !! kiss

You know it's to cold to be outside when....

1. You're walking and each gust of wind gives you the equivalent of an ice-cream headache.

2. You can't feel your legs.
decedent:
even at my age, my mom is always telling me to dress warmer. "you need a better coat! make sure to wear gloves! you should get a hat!" but attention is never paid to one's legs. you can have every other body part covered, but a cold gust of wind is still going to make your legs feel like you have no pants on at all.

Pretty good first couple of days back. I went to the High Museum of Art-the 14-19th century European art was pretty good. I viewed paintings of 16th century dutch merchant ships. I'm finding myself increasingly interested in maritime history and religious history in the Netherlands. Today I went to L5P got a copy of BUST magazine and a movie. I had to scramble to get...

Back at school...I register tomorrow. I didn't know my grades from last semester sucked so bad-I did get a B in Poly-Sci and a C in Chem. If I drop a course, I'll volunteer around Atlanta-it's been something I've wanted to do but didn't have time for because of my schedule.
stasia:
kiss kiss thank you sweetheart!

Elektra-hyped to the max, but didn't live up to its potential-too many plot holes, not enough plot twist and action.
kaitee:
Phantom of the Opera was much better than Elektra by far! smile biggrin
darklis:
Thanks babe. wink

I've got Hero, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and Twizzlers. Life is good, for the moment. I've been trying to take my mind off returning to college-I just feel stressed about it right now. confused blackeyed
muthermaggie:
as long as you have the strange yet somehow pefect duo of jim carrey and kate winslet, nothing can go wrong! but i think you need some skittles...
soiraile:
i love eternal sunshine of the spotless mind.. havent seen hero yet but want to
amelie was amazing as well as your other movies

Went to Charlotte yesterday and stayed overnight so my mother could pick up a transcript. It was frustrating, being in the city I grew up in and not being able to do anything, no going to museums, or restaurants...that never happens. I'm kinda considering the Univercity of NC-Chapel Hill-at least I could drive down on the weekends.

One thing that annoyed me, and still annoys...

I saw Ocean's 12 on Thursday and really liked it-when it comes out on DVD I'm going to buy it. I pretty much have nothing I have to do today (thank God) except shower, eat, and read.

Audrey, kaitee come back! frown frown
mr_ruckus:
Really?
Did you hear about the newspaper that dropped Garfield because it was too boring? As long as they leave the Boondocks and Get Fuzzy alone,I'll be happy.

If you can, read wapsi square from the beginning. It's a great strip.
burstandbloom:
the only movie ive seen lately is Life Aquatic
but i enjoyed it
and would like to see it again

Prey for Rock and Roll was an okay movie.... if you can get past Gina Gershon's singing. I watch The Day After Tomorrow with my mother-I wasn't interested in watching it at first, but was amazed at the special effects-the movie should get an award for them.
darklis:
I think I will probably have a great trip. I hate flying, so I'll just get smashed on the plane.

I agree with you on the Gina Gershon singing. puke

I'm debating whether to spend my money on books and porn or save it for a down payment on a Spring Break trip to Paris and Amsterdam confused
