My boyfriend and I, after the disaster have vowed never to live in an apartment again, so we're going through all the paperwork for financing for buying our own house.

I have been going through my own quest to acquire a real home; but I've been having an awful time trying to get the various bank/loan people to actually work with me.
I'm going to find a way through it all, somehow.... Still, it is amazing to me how quickly you have been able to get through the process, with seemingly none of the red tape and bogus excuses that I have been fighting through for months now. 
I think that I have just not been talking to the right banks, or something....
