This weekend was a knitting blur. I spent a big chunk of it with my knitting buddy Rachel. I ate alot of vegan food, and watched Nightmare on Elm Street. And today I'm going to pick up the needle case I put on hold yesterday...my two balls of cashmere will have to wait til I get paid. I'm making myself a cashmere hat.....be jealous!

Thank you my dear smile
I'm almost too tired to enjoy it.
akathisia:
You know, i wrote this really long response to this entry of yours earlier this morning, but i was tired, and the web browser crashed, and i was just too tired to rewrite it then. I can't remeber what i was going to say exactly.

I am jealous of your knitting! You have so much talent and so much fun with it! I will probably never be on the level that you are with it because i get so impatient with the actual process

I have a bucnh of really great yarn i have picked up lately! I am not really sure what i am going to do with it. Why is starting the biggest problem for me? I swear that is my biggest fear....starting anxiety....i am such a dork.

Good luck with physical therapy....and if they tell you no more knitting then you can at least punch them in the face with your good arm! wink

I want to eat healthier too...specifically more vegetables and salad greens, but often times i am poor and they go bad so quickly that i only buy them around pay day. Last night we had quinoa and lentils, which is good but pretty lacking in veggies. Oh wait, tomato paste is a vegetable, right, at least according to Reagan smile god i cant believe how people are still mourning that horrible waste of a president....uh oh politics showing through...

take care lady, i will try to respond to your new post too....

Quick quick quick.....

My eye looks better. Still oozing, but it looks normal. Yay!

I ripped out my entire sweater (which was almost done) after realizing my gage was off by a half a stich which in turn added 10 inches to my sweater. I have already begun again....and now I don't have to find something to do next!
The whole experience was sem-painful.

I...

I'm kinda bummed.

Luna is retiring. A band I've liked since day one....12 years later, its over. I've seen them on tour for every album, I've talked to them before, I've had a lot of good memories surrounding their music.

I'm really, really sad to see them go.

Hmm well you know how many people call it quits and then get back together again....Or a member dies and you think it is over and they put out a new album.
you will always have you memories and the cds.

I'm back to the land of the living. Well...sort of...i'm back at work. My eye is less disgusting then it has been in previous days. Now it just looks like I got into a fight. Which is much better then ooozing.
My throat doesn't hurt anymore...but I know that doesn't mean i'm 100%. But...better is better.

I don't know what i am doing with my life yet either, almost 23....said i would go back to school a year ago, but i am not any closer money wise. I just think back to highschool, back then i thought i would be dead by at the oldest 25. I guess we'll see! smile Those were some very bad times, and even though in essence my life is alot more crappy-muddled as far as directional um, direction (?) than then, at least my outlook is maybe a little less grim. I know people a few years older than me who went whizbang straight through college, and then tried to get a job, and then couldn't and ended up going back to school to do something else.....I know i get really negatively affected by that sort of stress, so while i don't condone my laziness, i don't want to have to go through what they did either. I don't know. When we are young we don't know our future selves, or the way the world works in a realistic sense.......really, its pretty natural to feel a little dissapointed but you still have a lot of time. Hell, when i was going to OSU for art some of the best, most awesome, impressive art students there were 30 and over (the oldest being 56), they had such determination, skill, and commitment, but i think it took them a while to get to that place.

Take care, and remember you don't necesarily need a direction "outlined" for you. Pirates know best--let the wind guide your sails, and, um, plunder booty where the booty be bountiful wink

I will find out tomorrow morn if I'm the proud momma of a strepp throat infection and pink eye. Yeeha!

Needless to say I'm home again today. Supposedly working from home. But this is great, sure, i have to occasionally send a crappy email, but i have cable TV to keep my company. And a salad from Whole Foods....mmmm...salad.

I went to knitting circle yesterday...

akathisia:
Awww, no more sicky! You must better getten!

Sounds like fun haloweenie plans. i think sometime before halloween my friend laura and i will go to the haunted corn maze that is near albany somewhere...i have never done it before and it just sounds so cheez-o-rifico.

Now i will sing you (okay just type really) the silliest/stupidest birthday song ever!

Today, today, today, today, today, todays your birthday
(repeat first line)
its not the pickle's or the pear's,
not the beaver's or the bear's,
hooray, hooray, hooray, hooray, for todays your birthday!puke

Someone sang that to me as a child...i cn't remember who but it must have scarred me for life because i can't forget. It is the first thing that pops in to my head above even the normal birthday song. Don't ever let me have kids, they would be so traumatized by my dumbness.

you know...just when I think i'm getting better...BITCHSLAP!
I wake up with this insanely painful sore throat that reaches all the way to my ears. I can barely swallow. and evern scarier....my eye is stuck shut. i'm like...ok...this isn't good. My left eye is bloodshot, swollen, and there's stuff in it. I won't get into details....but i think I have conjuctivitis. I've had it before....it...

Gaarrrrr, Nyquil be evil! Last year i was horrible sick for two weeks straight and after i got better i had to slowly wean myself off of the Nyquil because i couldn't sleep at all without it for a while. That sucked. But it is nice to actually be able to sleep when you feel so crappity crap.

Everyone is getting sick around here too. I am surprised i haven't cought anything yet, cross my fingers, but i probably will son. I am a lot less susceptable to flu than i am to colds for some reason....i think i have a weak respiratory system due to massive abuse of tobbacco throughout middle and highschool. So i am evilly hoping that everyone who has been absent so far has the flu...isn't that mean? I don't really hope that.

I hope you feel better though. I hate sickness because i feel like it is so impossible to control. So sleep lots, take lotsa vitamin C an Zinc, and i sound like i am momming you now but i hope you get well.

I'm feeling marginally better. I was able to lay off the Dayquil and go back to my Claritin-D. I'm hoping this was not a wrong move on my part. My throat is still sore, so I will need to take Advil throughout the day.
Thank you everyone for the healthy thoughts! You guys are the nicest people!

I got home last night, and after talking...

I think the only people who really "succeed" in "business environments" are those bitchy backstabbing predatory cretins you see everywhere, and you obviously aren't one of those so you must still be doing ok. You are much too awesome for all the crap this job is making you feel, however, i know the crunch that is need of money too. Jobs suck, especially since they hardly cater to the humans that work them, even if it is a better job, you still end up feeling a little like the grease on the wheel (unless you are self employed). I really dream of someday being self employed but i don't think i am organized enough to make that happen. Can you afford to cut back your hours, or take more time off? That would just be a temporary fix though, but sometimes it feels good. Come move to Portland! Heh, thats no solution either since you would still have to work somewhere.

Well take care....I'm sorry you have to deal with work shit.....you deserve to kick some asses.

You know...if i could run my car on snot...I'd never have to pay for gas again!

I feel like I got run over by a dump truck carrying dead cats. And this is actually better then i felt the previous two days.

Even though I wanted to stay home like a baby and drink Nyquil and watch stupid shows on TLC, I came to work....

My throat is sore and swollen, my ears hurt, and I feel very crappy.

BUT...I am so punk rock i'm going to go play kickball and see the Cramps tomorrow anyway!

See...if anyone is sick at work...I get it, in buttloads. Grrr...fuck.

Anyway...I'm off to look for Dayquil, Nyquil and some soft food for breakfast.
And I'm still going shopping today...because I'm not a whimp!...

I'm sorry you feel all sicky-blicky, but the Cramps should make you feel all better with their hip-swingin boot-stompin rawk right?

Eeeehhh, snot.....the body can actually produce so much that you can become dehydrated if you aren't careful. I had the worst cold i have EVER had (ever evar!) last year that lasted two weeks, and on one day i used 8 boxes of tissue and my nose was litterally chapped and bloody all around the oustide. That was pure waking hell.

Get better lady! Sickness is goign around! Like three people including you on my friends list are sick. And that is a pretty big percentage of my friends on here! Jeez!

take care

So I didn't actually end up finding that much stuff from the trift outing. I got a really abstracty reddish black tie from the 60's that looks vaguely like the pattern is doughnuts or blood platelets, and a t-shirt that says "may the floss be with you" on the front, and on the back luke and darth are fighting with toothbrushes instead of light sabers. It was a little bit too small but the dork in me just couldn't resist that shirt!

Carmel apple sounds really good! mmmmm.... I think i might try making a pumpkin pie soon! I am going to use the dry chai spice mix for part of the seasoning instead of traditional spices! I don't know how that will be....

Well get all better and stuff! Take care!

Why is it warm outside? Also, why did the people who own the building where my office lives turn off the air conditioning already? Its like 80 degrees in here. I am not a happy camper.

You know, I don't know what yarn I was using. It's HUGE though. I think I knit incorrectly, everything I have ever made has had these amazingly huge stitches. I suppose I knit big just like I walk big, talk big, eat big, and stand big. smile

Yeah, I think the pattern was kind of off. I used the yarn it called for, and the size needles it wanted, but they said to cast on 70 stitches. I am not a giant (despite my earlier claims), so the scarf folds in half.

Once I get my new piercing tomorrow and the swelling and redness has calmed down a bit I will post a picture of the scarf. Hurrah.

Nice to meet you too!
monsterbaby:
Awwwww, dude.......we need to like live closer to each other I would so be up to hanging out and stuff.
I could do little dances for you as payment for teaching how to knit or something like that. confused
It was raining today and only hit the mid fifties, I was cold.
I have no point I just wanted to leave you a comment.
Oh, I remebered to answer your questions......I already talked about the weather. I really like even though I have totally block out how cold it was last winter.
As for work well I am a at home wife person not real exciting I know, but it still work and I know I rule these parts. I came to the conclusion the other day that when I thought my life was the suck that I am super lucky that I have this time to figure out what I want to do and this time for real I'll sign up for classes when I get back from vacation.
The boy? well he's okay he works lots of hours but he has this weekend off so that's cool. I don't know if you have noticed but he has an account here too. He is get_dead_kid (he changes his username so much) He has one odd personality but a good guy none the less (obviously tongue )
Anyways, I babbled long enough!!!
have a great weekend. kiss

What a very nice day it is outside!

I saw Explosions in the Sky last night, in the hot and sweaty church basement. Ick. There was so many people all I could see was the band members shadows against the wall, which made the whole experience creepier then I planned. They're very good live, all bearded and into it.
