I'm having a pretty good weekend. We went to the Renaissance Festival. It was like nerd heaven. I actually overheard a couple of guys arguing over who was more knowledgeable in the area of 16th century swords.

Im not sure what's going on with me the next two days. Cleaning the house is a definite, though I might be up for some afternoon shenanigans for happy hour tomorrow.

I havent seen that Punk IFC thang yet...it's on my list. As for the Misfits...they get left out of a lot. Im not sure why that is, though...go figure.

So, I didn't get back when I wanted to yesterday, cause pup had a major allergic reaction to her distemper vaccination and we got home from the vet in time to turn around and go back so they could give her steriods and and IV and send us to an emergency vet for overnight observation. I was supposed to have a half day at work today, but had to call off this morning so I could go pick her up. I don't know how they figure out their billing, but I don't want them to have to keep her while I'm at work, just to charge me an extra 50 bucks or so for the luxury. We talked to the vet at about 10 pm and she was doing better, but they were going to keep her on the IV all night. I can call in 2 hours and 20 minutes. Then hopefully I can go get her. It was so scary, her face was all swollen and she looked more like a shar pei than a pit. I could barely sleep afraid that they would call in the middle of the night saying that she was relapsing. Then to top it all off, the vet that we spoke to was a complete bitch, wouldn't pet or touch our dog, and seemed really kinda scared of her. I was so upset I wanted to take her to a different vet, but luckily the night shift vet was much friendlier.

My horniness has been sqashed by anxiety. Not a fun switch. I'd rather be sexually frustrated instead of a nervous wreak.

So, I've been thinking about craft night (or afternoon now) , and I don't want to monopolize your time, but I'd really like some knitting help, if you don't mind helping. I don't know what I want to make, all I've ever started was a throw and a scarf, both plain and both not finished. So maybe you can suggest something that is easy and fast so a beginner doesn't get completely frustrated.

Ok, now I'm going to go use World of Warcraft as a crutch to keep me occupied until I can call the vet to find out when I can pick up my dog. I wanted to sleep in, I turned off my alarm and everything. It didn't work.

Grrr, stupid humidity & sexual frustration. I've said it before and I'll say it again, summer and horniness are not a good combo.

Ok, it's not a terrible combo. Just frustraiting when you're single.

ha ha ha man, I have turned down/ not gone to several interviews for that same reason. Yet somehow, I still ended up with a suit and tie job.
