hehe ... I was wondering about that though. If you start making pavlovas as well I'll start to think you might be a bit the geigh.
lowroller:
Haha! That's way funny.
I'm back in Sydney, where I want to be. My city. It's blazing hot, which is kind of nice (it helps that I don't have to do anything today). Listening to my music. It's good to be here.
Adelaide is actually the smallest city in the world. It's very pretty though. I'll whack some photos up later.

its funny- for being so far away (i know that's relative) you'all really get around. i know more aussie's than peeps from anywhere else except mexico which is 100 miles away.

1. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Catholic Schoolgirls Rule.
In the early 90s, all I'd listen to while playing Whacky Races - something I spent a great deal of time doing - was What Hits?. This wasn't one of my favourite tracks on the album, probably because I didn't...

I can dig it. I went through a huge Chilli Peppers phase when John Frushiante joined the band because I was a huge Hendrix fan (still am .. but not fanatically anymore). To me his guitar playing was as close to Hendrix (in feel) as I thought anyone could get.
I don't get the Sunnyboys though. Ok .. I'll admit I've only ever heard one of their songs, and I don't even remember the name of it . But I remember thinking I didn't like it. (it's the one with the video where they're playing outdoors)

no.... they found her body in the ganges, we have no specific details other than that she is no longer with us. Her folks have gone over to get her body. My friend said she heard it on the news but I cant find it anywhere else.
girlflamingo:
that is such a strange, strange random fact.
Yesterday I travelled 60 kilometres north to Old Goa, the old capital the Portuguese established in the 16th century. I went to an old church, apparently famous throughout the Christian world. It's called the St. Francis Xavier Basilica, I think. It's a big old building, held up by (at the time, revolutionary) flying buttresses which had first been seen at Notre Dame. Inside, the pulpit,...

awesome entry dude, sounds like you are having a great time
... and yeah Paul Kelly rocks my socks too... well you know what I mean.
I arrived in Goa on Saturday, and it couldn't be further from Delhi. Sure, it's two hours south, but it may as well be another country. There is so much space... luscious green hills roll all around, swirling into massive valleys, curling into cliffs. Trees everywhere. Rice paddies. It looks like Vietnam in every Vietnam war movie you've ever seen (and apparently most of those...

Feeling very jealous right now. Lucky you Anton.

I'd rather be in Goa....
I didn't really like the Shins, they weren't bad or anything, just sort of bland. The Stripes were amazing, of course.

Yesterday I saw a dog drowning in a river.
It's incredibly hot in Delhi, which probably won't surprise anyone. It's not the kind of hot that you can avoid under a shady tree, or ignore with a few cold drinks. It's the kind of hot that gets under your skin and into your eyeballs and lives in your hair. It's oppressive, to say the least,...
