At home sick today. Sorta sick, but sorta not. Might start a craft project or something.

The weekend was spent exchanging food for treasure. With a few adjustments, treasure will be on bodily display within a short duration.

Countdown to 21: 10 days.

I would love to come to your vegan indian dinner thingie... and even bring a dish or two!

My lower drawer is full of all the delicious indian spices...

Let me talk to the other half, and see if she's up for it.

Finished Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected, which was alright. It had a few winning short stories (particularly Skin) but was mostly mediocre. I never finished Little Birds (Anais Nin) so it's now in my purse for bus-time reading. Still stuck on Incest and Diary 1, because I haven't been reading at home very much.

Nipples are now in good condition. Pho was excellent last...

So out of boredom...or something I went out and got my nipples pierced today. The piercer was a pretty cute girl, and handled my boobies and coochie (new jewelry on previous piercing) with tenderness, so I over tipped her.

The initial event was a little hurty, and I jumped, but not extremely painful. The trip back home, on the other hand, was excruciating. The rubbing...

Gems from the ex-con on the #14:
-Harmonious co-existence is an oxymoron.
-Prison causes social retardation.
-Drug users, in order to parlay the social stigma of using, learn to ignore guilt, and therefore are more prone to crime.

Riding the #49 this morning was the most packed I've ever seen: rows five people wide all the way down the aisle, outside people...

Waiting too long for the bus, tripping next to the float, lost, found, stumbling uphill, biting, lots of stairs, good food, homeward.

Unlimited mimosas, naked cocks, again too many drinks, new people, alone, retrieved, too crowded bus, hopefully food, definately hangover in the forseeable future.

damn, I just saw your Folsom pics! that one of the guy fisting himself, whoa, that was something else. I guess the funniest part about it was the way everyone was hanging back like ten feet around him, like he was gonna explode or something! surreal

Drunkenness...lots of it. I've had a great couple of past days, meeting people and actually doing stuff. Next weekend looks to be just as exciting.

I've been reading Anais Nin's first diary as well as Henry and June (basically the stuff that was left out of the first diary), but I finished Henry and June and am now starting Incest, the continuation thereof.

Mike and I have been trying new and exciting recipes. Yesterday we made a pretty decent saag, which still needs some fine tuning. The recipes we've found...

Its not quite final (pending reference check) but I got a REAL job. Its social work, like I wanted, I get benefits, the pay is decent, and I'm really excited. I have to get a TB check and fingerprinted, tho, oooo scary. I filled out the gigantic stack of paperwork today, and I took home a procedure manual that is inches tall, but I get...

i studing english lit at university years ago which sort of put me off fiction-or perhaps I changed anyway. now i read mostly non fiction and tend to spend a year or two reading about one subject, from 98-2001 it was WWII, then it was Islam, particularly sufism. Now it is social policy as i am starting an MA in Social Policy in the autumn. The last work of ficition i read was Platform which was pretty good but oddly had no lasting effect on me.

is absinthe legal in the US. it is over here

Congrats on the job!! (saw in the sgsf post)

I just finished In Watermelon Sugar, by Richard Brautigan. It was lovely, though it ended sombrely. As I was reading the last few pages, my cat camped out on my chest. She was purring very loudly, and her wiskers were tickling my face. Our noses were about an inch apart, and I was trying to read between her ears from the book which I was...

I watched Jim Jarmusch's Coffee and Cigarettes this morning, and now I am walking across the street to buy my first pack of cigarettes in probably a year and a half, and making a pot of coffee. Anyone want some?

wait...is that the one in black and white that has everyone in it? I was thinking about watching it but I am never in the mood for just watching talking.
