Howdy, peeps! Dunno 'bout you, but the pages in my diary for this weekend seem to be filling up rather fast...No rest for the wicked, it seems

Yeah.. I agree she is sex on legs!!
Our Valentine's evening took a bit of an unexpected turn...
Having gotten home early (4:30pm) to prepare myself for a night of serious pampering & passion (my other half had promised he'd cook me a special supper, & I had promised him wild monkey sex), I got a rather sheepish phonecall from him at 6pm saying that he'd gotten us "invited" to a seafood feast...

Yes, I did the cover, but those dorks didn't even send me a copy of the cd, that's what you get for doing people favours.
As for the chat, you are absolutelly right, but because I dispence fatherly advise, doesn't mean I can heed it at all.
Pop in on Saterday, let me re-touch you, no charge.
Your man needs his head read, wild horses could have kept me away from that.
Take care Angel, love to Gia, who is also up I see.

Have just made another lovely friend, Kaijou, through the site, who is almost exactly the same age as me & who also happens to live in Jo'burg, woohoo!
Before I forget, I meant to tell you that I went & had a look at a vintage Beetle that I had seen advertised online & was interested in buying (it's more like a mini hotrod, actually!)......

Had an (unexpectedly, ie. unplanned) fab weekend
On Saturday Lee took me for lunch at the little Woolworths Cafe in Hyde Park. We absolutely LOVE their healthy lunchtime pay-by-weight buffet. On our way out we noticed that Exclusive Books was having one of their awesome sales, so we decided to treat ourselves - with a paperback on Artificial Intelligence "for him", & a biography on...

We had a fabulous girls' night out on Saturday. In the end, there were 10 of us in total. I'd say a good 80% of us have serious partners (many of us sporting big rocks on our wedding fingers), & it was really funny watching some of the more desperate (dumb?) members of the male species trying out their spade work on each of us...

I've just learnt a new word: "hiatus". Thx, Suspiria!! In an email I received from her this morning, she apologises for the length of time it took her to reply to an email I sent her a while ago, saying: "...sometimes I go into an online hiatus". Well, not to worry, girl, (now I know the meaning of this cool new word!), I reckon that...

Hey there .. congrats on the tattoo.
Sorry I've been so quiet the past month. What was supposed to be a quiet month in the middle of winter here, with no photography work, instead became a fairly hectic time. I had to submit some tech articles to be published in a photo trade publ here in the USA. A huge thrill for me. And then a lot of other things which distracted me.
I'll spend some time next week and properly catch up on your journal.
And I still owe you a reply as to when and how and why we emigrated to the USA.

oh, and one of the things I was pre-occupied with, was a new website I had someone design for me. I'll email you the URL when it is up properly next week.
We had quite a busy weekend. On Saturday I spent 6 hours revising & re-revising & then RE-re-revising our house plans to fit more realistically in line with our budget! Then yesterday we had a 2-hour meeting with our architect, Marc, at his & his girlfriend, Jolene's, place, followed by lunch with Chris & Tarryn at a small Italian restaurant in Sandton. (The boys call...

Is anyone out there as freaked out as I am about the fact that fuckhead Osama bin Laden is STILL out there, apparently alive & friggin' kicking!?! I read on news24.com today that his latest threat, made in an audiotape broadcast over TV station, al-Jazeera, marks the first time that he has been heard from in over a year, his silence adding to feverish speculation...

Hey there, I'm so flattered that you were concerened about me, that is quite an awesome thing to happen to me and I'm touched. I'm sorry that I made you worry, but sometimes things just get away from you and updating is not always high on the list.
I have replied to your mail, and am exited to meet and tattoo you, I hope you find it all in order, as for getting on like a house on fire, we do already, and meeting will only cement our freindship further. I can't wait.
How are things progressing with the young woman on the lower floor? You're such a naughty girl. LOL.
Take good care of yourself and loved ones.

I'm sitting here, listening to & falling in love with the new Apoptygma Berzerk album, "You And Me Against The World". Very different to their previous albums, but equally as brilliant! I have a sneaky suspicion that the track "Cambodia" is going to become a serious dancefloor hit...what we here in South Africa call a "treffer"!!
It's been over a week since my last journal...

After battling it out in typical rainy rush-hour traffic yesterday afternoon, I arrived home to the delicious smell of baking. My man (who is still on his annual leave), decided to bake us a batch of caramel muffins. I kid you not!! What a lucky lady am I

Had a nice, relaxed weekend with my man. On Saturday afternoon we went through to Clearwater Mall (by far the best shopping centre in the whole of Johannesburg, in our opinion), where I picked up some stuff to start my scrapbook. Then we hired two DVDs (recommended to us by Ronwen): A Night at the Roxbury + Big Fish, & spent a quiet night in....

Ah.. no - smoking was banned on public transport I think in the early 80s. before I was born at any rate.. You aren't even allowed to smoke in those little.. booths they have at busstops.
I don't smoke anymore, I used to when I was a lot younger.
They would probably have picked a fight over anything really - all they wanted to do was act cool.

Had a really nice braai last night. Ro left at 10pm, but Rich ended up staying till 1am. It was 6 weeks to the day since Angie had died. We had a really deep conversation with him about sex, love, death, faith, life after death, etc, etc. We laughed together, we cried together, we questioned the enormity & mystery of it all. It was really...

Sorry to hear the year has begun on a bit of a downer, but a loss like that takes a while to heal, and is always close to the surface. Your love for Angie, is what will always keep her alive.
My year has started out pretty much like the last one ended, I wonder why that is LOL. Just another pesimistic spewing.
So when is your house going to be complete? I'm about to tackle some renovations at our place here in Northcliff, but the thought of dealing with contractors, makes me feel quite ill.
Well that's about it for now, you guys should pop in sometime, it's always good to meet other SGers.
