On Wednesday night I dragged Lee out to Melville. After spending the day at home doing housework (ugh!!), I was crawling the walls & just needed to get out of the house for a few hours. We had a Long Island Iced Tea at Ratz, followed by a yummy supper at Soi - a Thai & Vietnamese restaurant he had wanted to take me to...

Called in "sick" today - with a sore throat & swollen glands. The truth is, I'm staying home to catch up on housework. I'll be damned if I'm spending Good Friday doing frickin laundry puke

Our maid usually comes in half-day twice a week - Tuesdays & Fridays. After her taxi accident yesterday, she was eventually treated & discharged from hospital last night. I told her...

wow, you have a really long day. i leave the house at 5:30 a.m. and get home at about 2:30 p.m. i've called in sick to catch up on house stuff numerous times. im not going to spend the weekend picking up the yard etc. well have a nice day off.
saffa:
aaah thats the worst about living on your own and not having a maid is all the house work you have to do frown frown
hope you 'feel' better soon wink wink

My ride on Saturday was a complete & utter disaster. No-one else pitched up for the 3pm *social* ride, so I had no choice but to head out on my own. It was the first time I had ridden at this particular farm, so I gave my horse - a sweet but spritely chap, named Febs - a bit of rein & kind of let...

I did know him, the shooting took place a K away from my home, and I heard the shots fired.
I will not give into this though, we will have to become more vigilant and the neiborhood will have to get there shit together and look out for one another.
But yep it is the Wild West
I have already begun to put a little more security in place. The one thing I do have to say though, is that Ken's place was always a shambles with people coming and going, so I would not be surprised if it was an inside job. Not that being caged in your own home should be a pre-requisit to being alive.
On that somber note I'm off, don't be a stranger, and get your man to call me, I might need some shirts done for the convention

kiss

i like watching lightning from a distance. at work anytime lightning gets near us we get sent home. it always makes everyone nervous when its around. my wife just finished the da vinci code. now i can read it. she also got another book called angels and deamons. she said it is pretty good so far. well take care and hopefully your next ride will be better.

I was happy in the haze of a drunken hour
But heaven knows Im miserable now

I was looking for a job, and then I found a job
And heaven knows Im miserable now

In my life
Why do I give valuable time
To people who dont care if I live or die?

Two lovers entwined pass me by
And heaven knows Im miserable now...

Um, there seems to be a bit of confusion surrounding my favourite genre of clubbing music. saffa is certainly not the only one around here who is a little in the dark as to exactly what EBM is all about wink So I decided to give you all a break & describe - in my own words, mind you - a little more about the phenomenon...

"...let him goto www.breytenbachs.com and let him sort it out if he has to..."

Breytenbachs are the idiots that are refusing to organise any more Fokofpolisiekar events overseas any more. It's a long story, but they (Breytenbachs) seem like a bunch of uptight a&&holes to me...

Howdy, peeps!

This Saturday I'm going riding at a place near Southgate, called StirrupGlen. It's been a while since I last rode (at a friend's place in Benoni, late 2005), so I can hardly WAIT to get back in the saddle! And if I really like the *feel* of this farm & the horses available - I may very well make a regular weekend...

Sonja's GeNeSiS party on Friday night was unfortunately very quiet. Such a pity, as the music (mainly EBM) was awesome. And quite a remarkable feat, really - considering she found herself 2 DJs short!! She originally had 5 lined up for the night, but 2 were arrested for openly smoking crack on the indoor balcony overlooking the dancefloor eeek - before they even got a chance...

After doing our bulk monthly grocery shop on Tuesday night, Lee & popped into Richard's place to collect some stuff of ours, including the vase I had taken round to his old townhouse with a massive bunch of red roses & a card, a day or two after Angie died in November, plus one of her professional makeup caboodles he wanted me to have -...

The delectable (but also pretty dumb) Robbie Williams is in South Africa on tour at the mo. I heard on the radio that he apparently doesn't want to meet our ex-president, Mr Nelson (Madiba) Mandela, who is, as you all know (I hope!), probably one of THE most important living humanitarian icons of the 20th century!! Now, sure, Robbie is also, like, only "the biggest...
