europe! I've been to europe. twas a good time. Why does this confuse you now? Where in europe are you going??

I joined that suicideboys group but have yet to really look at any pictures. Y'see, just cuz I wouldn't mind posin nude doesnt mean I like to look at other nude guys. heh. but I guess I probably should if I wanna get some ideas, eh?

so how did that paper come back? with a high grade I hope?

I shall send you an e-mail, but I dunno when that might be cuz I'm a busy busy boy at the moment. School's kickin my ass. & writing an e-mail will probably take a little while & depress me.

Glad to hear your thanksgiving went well. So where does your family actually live?

So is this coyote ugly place really more of a dive? I never saw the movie so I dunno how it was portrayed. Didn't seem like the kind of movie I'd like to watch, though. And now I have a feeling that I wouldn't be surprised if I saw it being played as a Saturday evening movie.

I think the white russians usually run around 5 bucks or so around here. I dunno man. Alcohol's too expensive. As you may have seen from my entry, I went to a bar three nights in a row (four if you're counting the local rock show, but I didnt buy a drink that night) and OF COURSE I had to get at least one drink. beh! what a waste. I had one and a half tequila sunrises one night & didn't feel A THING. I think I'm done talking about alcohol. heh.

whoop! you need to get laid too, eh? Well fly on over; I'll give ya a romp.

Man, I should really be either reading or revising a paper. so I should get goin. hope the strss isnt gettin to ya. & hope the guys aren't being too weird.

I forgot. are you the cockball or am I the cockball? Who's the asshat? I'm so confused!

whuttup yo? Amy & I saw this local group that used to be called the Olympic Hopefuls but had to change their names cuz they were gonna get sued by the Olympic people. heh. I can't remember what they changed their name to, though. I think just the Hopefuls. One guy played the keytar which rocked my ass. One song they played was pretty cool and then I realized that the main riff they kept repeating was the first few notes to the Sesame Street theme. heh. During their last song some groupie girl ran up on stage and had a fever. the only prescription? COWBELL BABY! She started rockin that cowbell like there t'weren't no tomorrah. and I didnt buy any drinks that night either. Instead we just went back to my dorm & had a few glasses of white zin. yeah baby.

I need to find some nekkid guy poses. I guess I should just join that suicide boys group. The thing is that I'd like to pose but I cant help but feel that nekkid guy pics look utterly ridiculous. heh.

hope that paper o' yours went well. I dont even wanna talk about the ones I have to write this week. we'll just move on cuz it's stressin me the fuck out.

my turkey day was FUCKED UP man. I mean, the actual meal itself was just fine. quite mediocre to tell you the truth. but shit pretty much broke loose for a few days after that. I'll probably post an entry with lots of pictures. a few with me in them. I'm debating whether I should post one of the pics even though all I'm doin is smiling. I'm so picky. I guess if you want a sneak peak you can check out my picture section cuz I added a few. man oh man. The last few days have just been chock full of emo dramatic bullshit. I probably won't talk about THAT part in my entry. If an e-mail or somethin then okay cuz I dont wanna talk about it in comment form either. heh.

So how was YOUR turkey day, eh? You dig gravy? I was never a huge fan of gravy but I'm startin to like it more. I'm not hep with the stuffing either. I swear to god the stuffing at this year's thanksgiving smelled like cigarettes. blecch.

man! why do you people keep goin to coyote ugly if you don't like it!?! heh. Did you have fun, tho? How much does like, a white russian cost? The cheapest I can find around here is 4 bucks, and it's at a pretty nice bar too. tis my favorite bar. a hep little underground jazz club. you can smoke in there, but it's got a nice atmosphere and some cool cats.

y'know what, for some reason Family Guy just didnt do it for me the other day. I dunno if it was cuz I wasn't in the best of moods or what, but it just wasn't doin it for me. I think that now I've discovered the formula of a Family Guy episode, which I posted on that entry of mine, the jokes don't come as much as a surprise. I ruined it for myself! MAN!

so what else you been up to, yo? how's that schoolin o' yours goin?? how're the guys treatin ya? Well I'm gonna head out. There's only a couple weeks of classes left & I'm STRESSIN OOUUUUUT. eeek

Not only is rum the preferred alcohol of pirates, but also of Mr. Ernest Hemingway, a writer whose works I greatly appreciate! I dont think he's the tell all & say all of literature, but he's got some good shite. He used to drink Rum St. James, which is some POWERFUL shit, yo. oy vey. good stuff, though.

I think I remember you telling me about your friend who does filipino (why is that if you're from the philippines you're "filipino" and not "philippino"? isn't that weird?) stick fighting. that sounds pretty bad ass. I wouldnt' mind learning that.

yeh. Paradise Lost covers SO MUCH ground and it's SO encyclopedic yet Milton's storytelling is just AIR-fucking-TIGHT. It's just unreal. ugh.

As for Odysseus & Aeneas, I had them be assigned to spend the night in the same room at Circe's Bed & Breakfast while they're both on their way home to Ithaca and Italy, respectively. heh. Aeneas turns on the light late at night to discover that Odysseus is having a romp with Circe. In the morning, Circe's serving sausage & bacon (she turned O's crew into pigs, you may remember) and the two kings find an apple in an inscribed dish that says "For the Wisest" (paralled to how the Iliad was started). Aeneas challenges Odysseus to a fight, and O being the witty & wise man that he is, tricks Aeneas by telling him that there's a Fury behind him and then basically running away. That's just the very brief synopsis of it. I had fun with it. I threw quite a few obscure myth references in there that I'm sure my professor will dig. If I don't get a somewhat decent grade on that paper I'll be hearbroken.

mixed cds! I've actually been working through them quite rapidly! uh, it may still be a little while before I get to yours, but it's definitely going to be sooner than I anticipated! hurrah! bok

You're probably taking your GRE right now. Good tidings to you, ma'am. I hope you do well. Is there a particular section that you're supposed to do better on than the others? For example, when I take the GRE I'm sure the people in the English department won't give a rip how well I did on the math portion. heh.

You doin anything crazy wit yo mum this weekend now that she's back?

well anyway, I hopes you're feelin better & not sickish. Have yourself a rockin weekend, fool! oink

heeey. sorry it's been awhile. It's been a crazy sort of weekend. I partied harder last night than I have since I was in Chicago a couple months back. ho doggy. a somewhat detailed entry will probably ensue.

Wallace & Gromit was good, yo. It had some good puns & it was a little cheesy (THAT pun was not intended) but, y'know, it was also made for kids so it had to be a little corny. There needs to be more stop-motion animation, dammit! Enough with the fuckin 3D Chicken Little shit! well that stuff's fine. but I hate how Disney WILL NOT MAKE a traditional, hand-drawn animated movie anymore. WILL NOT. uch. sorry I totally took a turn into a different topic. Wallace & Gromit = deliciously fantastic!

I actually didn't end up seeing a movie this weekend, but I did rent & watch the 3rd Harry Potter & the 2nd volume of Bullshit. damn that's a good show. There's a part in the Self-Help episode where a woman sounds EXACTLY LIKE those dumbasses from Donnie Darko who were all like, "then I realized I was a prisoner of fear and that I must free myself in order for me to feel love blah blah blah." It was hilariously unbelievable.

Dude, I was at a fuckin party (I've been swearing more often. hrmm) a couple months ago, and a girl put Requiem for a Dream on. TO WATCH. AT A PARTY. WHA?!? heh. DAMN that's a good movie, though. The book is almost impossible to read. oigh.

There's so much shit I should be doin right now. Two papers to right for Thursday. a couple entries to write. Walt freakin Whitman to read. Mixed cds to make. So whuz goin on witchoo, homes? Hope you had yerself a DANK weekend. yeah. DANK. That's like, street talk for COOOOOOOOL. maybe. I dunno. I'm really not with it anymore. cuz they changed what it was. and now whatever it is seems strange and frightening. that was a horribly butchered Simpsons quote. alright I'm done rambling. sorry. heh.

okay, so it's a lonely saturday night and you want to watch a movie, and the only choices you have from your own personal collection is sin city, finding nemo, nightmare before christmas, and saw? Saw II is comin out soon!! are you about to splode?

I told you about the Spike movie again because, like the Gattaca jokes, I couldn't remember any specifics about it other than it exists and I have no way of proving any allegations. so yeah. I DID remember that I told you about the Spike movie. It's just that this damn medium can make things confusing, consarnit! or I'm just too vague & confusing when I talk about stuff . . .

I love Home Movies, but I dunno if I like it enough to get their dvd! I'm so torn. Did you ever watch Dr. Katz? John Benjamin (McGurk) played Dr. Katz's son, Ben. And the animation was almost exactly the same, except it was all squiggly like in the early Home Movies episodes.

Okay, when I got to class for that Greek Comedy the teacher told us that the translation is even LESS raunchy than the original Greek! and he even gave us a 1964 translation to look at to see that the translation really hasn't changed at all over the past years.

That play is fuckin RIPE with sexual puns and innuendos. It's so hilarious; you should read it sometime. All of the men in the play wear giant fake phalluses/phalli to show their sexual depravity. dear lord. I can't stress how dirty this play is. I gotta give you a couple more quotes from this thing.

A magistrate is complaing about women: "Aren't WE the ones who go to the shops and say stuff like, 'goldsmith, about that necklace you made me: my wife was ahving a ball the other night, and now the prong's slipped out of the hole. Me, I've got to cruise over to Salamis. So if you've got time, by all means visit her in the evening and fit a prong in her hole.' Another husbgand says this to a teenage shoemaker with a very grown-up cock, "Shoemaker, my wife's pinky-toe hurts. It seems the top-stap is cramping the bottom, where she's tender. So why don't you drop in on her some lunchtime and loosen it up so there's more play down there?'"

Last one. A guy's talking about how much he wants to screw his wife, basically:
"O Zeus, Zeus, raise up a great tornado,
with lightning bolts and all,
to sweep her up like a heap of grain
and twil her into the sky,
and then let go and let her fall
back down to earth again,
and let her point of impact be
this dick of mine right here!"

dirty dirty dirty! but good shite, yo.

So you a big fan of the porn?

Motion City Soundtrack. Motion City Soundtrack. I may have heard something of them, but nothing instantly comes to mind.

And yes, I feel very special indeedy. biggrin

Ben Folds rocked my ass last night. I wasn't at an angle so I'd be able to see his mad fingers burning up & down the piano, though. but I highly enjoyed the show. Some tall ass guy jimmied his way RIGHT in front of me and forced me to move to a better location. Dude, if you're friggin 6ft tall or taller you SHOULD NOT be on the fuckin floor. grarr!! mad Or at least not in the front.

I leave you with a link to a kickass Ben Folds cover of Dr. Dre that I heard last night. rock on, cockball!

Bitches Ain't fo Shit, yo

P.S. I wrote this comment instead of reading 3 books from Paradise Lost. and my class for that starts in about an hour and a half. hehe. bok

heh. yeh. yeh. we'll see if anything happens with the Amy. Truthfully, I wouldn't hold my breath, and I dunno if I'd want something more than friendship anyway. There are some things that could inevitably doom a relationship from the start. so having a good friend who I occasionally get to spoon, give shirtless backrubs to, and get fucked up with is a-okay for now. heh. one day at a time.

heh. yeah. it's like, drinking is a form of procrastination or thinking. like how smokers go have a smoke while writing a paper so they can think a bit about what they're going to write next. it's the same thing with drinking!

What's holding you back from seeing NIN in concert? did they already come by or do you just lack the funds? They played a lot of "classics," though. so it wasn't just the mediocre stuff from their last album. It's just that I'm a drummer and "piggy" is a nice little song for a drummer to appreciate. oh well. I'd totally see them again. You play any instruments, by the by?

The karate tournament went just fine. It's a whole lot of waiting around, TOO MUCH waiting around, to do a 3-minute form. uch. The one today was the Diamond Nationals, which is one of the biggest tournaments in the nation, if not the world. right here in Minnesota too. how nice. I tied for fifth. which isn't bad considering that, y'know, people, GOOD karate people, travel around the country and world just to go to this thing.

and yeah. there are so many crazy ass styles out there. I wish I did something a little more non-traditional than Tae Kwon Do. If I wasn't so damn busy I'd be toning this body with even more rigorous styles of martial arts. HI-YAH! ARRR!!! <-- since there are no friggin ninjas on this site, I'll have to settle for a pirate. every occasion merits a pirate.

so didja go out and enjoy the weather or write your paper? It's actually been pretty nice here for it being mid-october. It's in the 70s! nice! We'll see how long that lasts, though. beh.

tonight I may go see Mirrormask. I asked Amy if she wanted to go, but her "kids" are comin over so she'll probably be busy and I'll end up goin by myself -weep- but that's okay cuz I used to go to movies by myself all the damn time. but Mirrormask is just one of those movies that looks good to see with another person. ah well. Tomorrow I'm going to see Wallace & Gromit with another friend for my b-day! hurrah! I hear it's a good'n. Whatchoo up to, homes?

god dang that's long! but hey, you wanted to know how the comic con went! wink
aficionado:
bloop. Hotdogs can be good. yes. but I try to stay away from processed meat. especially after having read Fast Food Nation. of course I relapse every once in awhile. I can't help but eat pepperoni, for example. but yeah, I usually try to stay from ground beef or any other meat that's been ground up with other meat. ech. I've just grossed myself out. heh.

Y'know, I've never had a bloody mary before. It doesn't sound like something I'd like. but then. I've never had one. so I dunno! white wine is good. huyup.

One more thing about mashed potatoes. there's a restaurant here that bases its meals on mashed potatoes, and everything else is a sort of side dish. it rocks. and it's good. but expensive. bleh.

When I went to the comic con the other day my dad came with. I dunno why my dad likes to come with me to comic conventions, but every one I remember going to he's come with. he's a bit of a dweeb, so I guess there's stuff for him to look at, but he's not really into comics or star wars or anything. but I guess I don't mind. it gives me someone to talk to about stuff, even though he probably doesn't care. heh.

If he didn't come then I'd probably just go by myself anyway. since. I don't really know anybody in person other than myself who collects comics. It's kind of sad to be so into something but then not having anybody to talk to about it in person. what the hell is up with my sentences in this comment? they're all fucked up! kinda. they could be better. anyway, that's what's great about SG. It's a community of people who hold your same interests and can talk to if there's nobody nearby. 'nother HORRIBLE sentence. ugh.

BUT you are SO RIGHT about MAD magazine! I was an avid, loyal fan since I was a kid. When other children were playing on the playground, I was sitting at a picnic table reading old issues of MAD. I have an Alfred E. Neuman wristwatch and puzzle and play cards and I have STACKS of magazines going back to when my mom used to collect them when she was a kid. I was IN LOVE with MAD magazine. then. it started to suck some MAJOR ass.

Some of those old issues from my mom's time had some serious, controversial counter-culture content. Back in the 60s MAD was considered a radical form of entertainment. You see that Simpsons where Bart wore a "Down with homework" MAD t-shirt and the school went chaotic? well yeah, it was parodying the influence of MAD in the late 60s. I'm not saying MAD drove every young person nutty or anything, but it did have an influence.

but now? NOW?! It went COLOR! and worst of all, it now displays ADVERTISEMENTS!!! ADS, KIMBERLY!! ADS!!!! Its non-use of ads was a symbol of its stance against the establishment and capitalism! And the content has been sooooooooo watered down. I look back at those old 60s issues and I am just APPALLED and SHOCKED at some of the stuff they used to print. just taken aback. I would be surprised beyond belief if they actually printed content on the same controversial level as they used to. It's no longer edgy. so it's no longer enjoyable. It's actually a very sad thing for me cuz, like I said, I used to read MAD since I was a little kid. I wish it didn't suck so much now . . .

feel free to rant along with me. How early did you collect those MADs? Do you have any of those 60s or 70s issues? but yeh yer right. MAD sure ain't what it used to be. -sigh- frown

Anyway, there are WEBcomic cons?? I didn't know they were THAT big! yowza!! otakon? connecticon? matsucon? you're speakin Greek to me, man. heh. Did you check out that one webcomic I linked in my last comment? meh. hehe. yeah.

Amy's "son," Peter, who's 6yrs old, does indeed enjoy Darth. He's her "son" in that she took care of him and his two sisters, Paula and Presley, when their parents were going through some hard times. So in a way she's helped raise those kids. There's a pic of them in my "friends" section of my pic section. but yeah, Pete sure loves the Star Wars (mostly Darth Vader and Yoda) and the Spider-Man.

Chicken Little does indeed look like it might be entertaining. I've never seen the first Ice Age all the way, so I'm rather indifferent about that, but I hear Wallace & Grommet is supposed to be good. I dig all of these animated movies, but they really need to bring back the classic 2D animation. Done correctly (good art with a good story), I think people will go see it. I think movie producers and executives believe 2D animation is dead, but I just don't think they're putting any effort or quality into their products. Once again, I lament for something that's become shitty which was once good. -sigh-

The only movies I can really think of that I'd like to see right now are The Aristocrats and Mirrormask. I have not read/seen one Harry Potter book/movie, but I saw the trailor for the new Harry Potter movie and I have to admit that it looks pretty kickass.

How much do movies cost in New York? A matinee might cost about 5.50 here, but then 7.50 - 8.00 for an evening show. What I hear is that a movie costs about 10 bucks on the coasts. dear lord. that sounds like so much! There was a time when I'd see a movie at least once a week. I used to be a bit of a movie buff. but. not so much anymore. but there's also so many movies I still need to see. gruh.

Is there anything really to respond to in this comment? It's basically just a bunch of rantings in response to your comment. heh. sorry. it's probably long enough already. peace out, suckah!

oigh! I finally just finished The Odyssey and it felt like it took me twenty years just to read the damn thing! I enjoyed it, though. long. but I enjoyed it.

The other night I went over to Amy's place to keep her sick ass company while she suffered from bronchitis. it was almost painful just to be in her presence. we hung out. watched the director's cut of Donnie Darko. and I left at 1:30, in the worst damn rain mind you. When I got back she decided to text me & start a conversation/argument over her pining for her ex-girlfriend. which prompted me to talk about my current frustrations in wanting affection but because of my situation it disallows me to deal with the baggage that comes along with it. which led to the both of us talking about how nobody ends up happy and there's no hope for it, there are no constants, the seek for contentment is futile, expectations no matter how small are unattainable and always end in disappointment, how we're all just spinning around blindfolded and trying to reach out for brief connections with other people, and how life just plain ol' sucks. y'know. cheery, jolly stuff like that.

But I didn't have class until 1:20, so it worked out. although any chance to be productive was thrown out the window. I'm an american, dammit! that means I gotta be productive at ALLLLL times. why. that's the american way! otherwise we're just wastin space, dontchya know?

you ever been to ebaumsworld.com?? It's pretty damn lewd sometimes. but it has some amusing games like this fishy game and this infuriating game. garr!! I have yet to win ONE GAME of it. Alright, and one last hilarious thing.

I liked the penguin poker!! hehe. twas cute. I enjoy the penguins. haven't seen that March of the Penguins movie yet, though. but I think that penguin symbolizes me. only taking so much before I go apeshit on yo ass! I guess. I'm tired and making stuff up. I need sleep. heh.

you mind me askin why you currently have no cock to keep ya company (so much alliteration!)? and if I should ever overstep my bounds, you just let me know with a swift slap in the face and kick in the groinal area. or just tell me. that works too.

I'm draggin my ass to bed now. I bid you a hearty (??) good night.

I'd like to have a pet snapping turtle sometime cuz I think they look cool, but I hear that you gotta get one while its young or else it'll be a real bitch. as I'm sure you could imagine.

I dunno about sneaking my dog into my dorm here, but dude, i've been wanting a pet hedgehog for the longest damn time. I think it'd be neat. I even have a couple plush hedgehogs cuz I dig em so much. and this doesn't have to do with anything really, but Neil Gaiman (writer of the graphic novels The Sandman and the novels American Gods and Anansi Boys) was once chased around his backyard by a big, perturbed hedgehog. I just find it humorous to think of someone being chased around by a big, ornery hedgehog. heh. it makes me chuckle. whatever.

The thing about working as an instructor is that you're ALWAYS busy. there's no just standing around being bored. well. we can be bored. but no standing around doing nothing. kinda sucks, really.

Yeah you did ask if I'm doing anything for Halloween, and I said that Amy's friend is playing some show or something. but I'm not sure if I'm going to go or what I'm giong to do yet. I forgot to look for those pictures of me as Johnny the Homicidal Maniac while I was at my parents' over the weekend, so I'm sorry but you'll have to wait until this coming weekend for any photos. I don't really look like him at all. heh. I just look like some demented goth boy. One time I dressed up as the Crow and I looked fuckin SWEET, yo. I looked just like him. And then I was going to dress up as Tyler Durden, even had the sunglasses & everything, but I never did. I kinda stopped dressing up. which is sad. cuz I LOVED dressin up. I'd make an event of it. pfeh. ah well. ahhhhhh well. you dress up as anything kickass on Halloween? dang I'm tired. peace out, yo.

Do I really feel inadequate? No, not really. I'm told that I shouldn't feel inadequate. heh. I just felt like talking about one of my favorite subjects: David Bowie's package. I don't have a Napoleon complex, but I do wish sometimes that I were a little taller, though.

Well anyway. Now -I- gotta get back to some reading. more odyssey. hoorah. until next time, take it easy, yo.

when feeling apathetic towards life, go sit in the park. i think watching the dogs play in the dog run might be one of my more enjoyed time consuming activities...and watching people is fun too. it isnt very good for helping me do homework and such, but it sure does make me smile skull

The video isn't animated (which woulda kicked ass), but it certainly did have a style & quality to it that I'd attribute to Jhonen. I did enjoy it, ma'am. I wonder if he has any future directing projects in the works? I'd welcome them heartily. I usually dislike his FillerBunny stuff, but the last one he did was so horribly hilarious. oh man.
"I say dis book don't got ENOUGH rapists!"
"FINALLY! The voice of reason!"
I may have butchered that quote. meh. It's just so incredibly un-P.C. that it's great.

I saw the American Psycho movie before I read the book, and I thought it was okay. something seemed lacking. but then, so does the book in my opinion. heh. Christian Bale was friggin awesome, but I don't think the movie can compare to the novel. so much good stuff was left out! man I gotta read that again! but no time, man! no time! grarr. And one of these days I gotta read Rules of Attraction. sooooo much to read!

Yeah, I got some plans for my future, but who friggin knows if any of it is actually going to happen. Life usually seems to have something else in mind, no matter what your plans are. One of my favorite professors said that Life is a Digression. and that's stuck with me ever since. I dunno. I just like it.

I've been enjoying the Odyssey more than the Iliad ("and the sun sank and the roads of the world grew dark" and "Dawn with her rose-red fingers shone once more"), but Oedipus is good stuff too. I haven't read Antigone, which I hear is good. and I'd really like to read Euripides' Bacchae. I'm fond of the mythology.

man, I'm a horrible writer; that's why I hate to do it so much. heh. I slave over entries sometimes. I think I'm adequate, but certainly nothing to blow my load over. ahem. so you're in good company. Anthopology, that's kinda related to sociology, yes? hehe. If I were minoring in anything it'd be sociology. I'm not entirely sure what one does with an antropology (or sociology) degree, buuuuut best of luck to ye? heh. As a future teacher, I'll probably be joining you in the alleyway, sharing my can of beans and asking people if I can service them for money. heh.

and. uhm. ahem. I say in my entry that I saw Corpse Bride. which was okay. The story is razor thin, the puns are BAD (but maybe that's the point, y'know? so that makes it less bad or even kinda cool. heh) and the characters are almost expressionless since their huge-ass, doe-like eyes and insignificantly small mouths can only convey so much emotion (the corpse bride herself could convey the most emotion and seemed like the character with the most depth). but it was still visually stunning and I enjoyed the music, especially the piano parts. All in all, I'd give it a B or a B-. et toi?

these comments just keep getting longer! will nothing stop them?!

Sigur Ros rocks by the way. you should pick up their newest album, Takk...
I just saw their concert for the third time in my life, & just purchased their album, so I'm a little obsessed at the moment.
biggrin

whoa. I sound like one of those smarmy guys who covertly works for a record company, befriends a hep trendsetter, and suggests that you pick up the newest album for this rad up & coming band. Let me assure you, that's not the case. heh.

Didjoo see Corpse Bride. If so, what'd you think?
