I'm sure you'll find someone you're an interesting & kind person ...& I completely agree w/your mom on this...at least in my life that's been my experience, I do sort of believe that when you look too hard then you either attract the wrong kind of guys or your disapointed because the guys you meet don't meet your expectation...& in my life when I haven't been searching, it seems like things fall into place much easier. And I do the random art facts & "tour guide" thing too

Just read your last journal. I know how you feel. I've been away in LA for ten years, and just came back this past year, and have been too involved in work to really get out. If you're looking for a friend, I'm always looking for a movie/museum buddy.
i need more friends because, for the most part, all of my very close friends moved away last year. i hate being shy. it makes me sad. i especially need more female friends, but so many of them are sooooo much more beautiful, and then i get all nervous. They look and seem very cool, but Im such a dork that I end up overthinking...

That's pretty cool! I'm thinking about going for a masters degree in something related to art history like library science then I might be able to work w/archival records & etc. I'm not really good w/the tech. aspect of painting so I'm afraid to do restoration, but I think that would be one of the best jobs in the world!

Judging from the paintings in your picture I don't think you'd have a problem doing restoration. I'm orginally from Ohio, but now I live outside Indianapolis, IN....its a long story but I moved in w/my parents for 6 months after I graduated (& they moved here to be close to family) & now my boyfriend & I are just sort of here until he finishes his degree.
