Sorry I did not get to meet ya. You are one of the people I was looking forward to meeting too. Oh well, I guess there is next time.

It took longer than it appears. I canceled my O.G. subscription which started at the end of June and ran August.
So that's 3 months. The force is not as strong as it used to be with you.

You know where that hurricane was in Florida?
That's where my mom is.
There's no way to contact her because the phone has been down for days.

my parents came to Columbus. it took them almost 7 hours to get home (usually a 3 hour drive) b/c interstates were closed from flooding. and this is OHIO. with Ivan coming to FL... i hope you're mom is safely in a bomb shelter. and that shes safe.
bountyhunter:
My firend's mom, who just had brain surgury on a tumor, lives right in the path of the new hurricane. It sucks to hear that she is trying to fight her bad health and at the same time fight this shitty storm. Lots of rain coming our way soon!
Ok. Out of the loop for the minute but here's an update:
After work Friday I decided to have an accident with my bike and a minivan. Didn't get hurt that bad but suffered six stitches in my knee and a couple of big bruises on my legs. The coolest part was that my pedal was indented into my calf and left a perfect impression...

we'll get in the car. on a cold morning. cold like we wont turn the heat on in the car and have scarves on. and drive. doesnt matter if you drive or i do. preferably me, so that i can smoke. go for about an hour and a half or so. into the woods. and walk. still not talking to each other. in fact, the only words we'll have said were hellos when you get into the car. and "ready?" as we pull away.
so we walk. and we wish that we had brought another pair of socks. the ground is wet and a little is getting in because our shoes arent water proof.
then theres the boat. so we look around and make sure that no one is there. break the chain and pull the boat from the dock and drag it to the shore and wade it into the water.
we hold either side of it and push... until we are about to step into the water, but just in time, we jump into the boat.
you're just a little bit stronger than me, so you row while i shift our backpacks around to balance out the weight in the boat.
once we get to the middle of the lake (its not that big, but big enough for a decent fishing spot), you say to me "here?" i double check your position. i say "yeah. its good." and we throw the oars from the boat.
we stare at them. floating too far for us to reach them by hand. we look at each other.
now what?
