Today is Mothers Day. I have the best gift EVER. I get to lie in bed and feel their arms around my neck as they tell me how much they love me.

But today is really about you, Elyssa, because it was you that came into my life nine years ago today and changed everything. You changed the way I live, the way I think,...

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): Studies show that judicious chocolate consumption promotes longevity. People who ingest it three times a month are more likely to live into their 90s than those who either refrain from eating it or else gorge on it frequently. The astrological omens suggest, however, that your health will be well-served by eating 300 percent more than the judicious amount this May, beginning...

A 3-day cinco-drinko...not to shabby. Sounds like you know how to celebrate a holiday the RIGHT way.

APPLE SEASON!!!! BIGHT YOUR TONGUE!!! no im kidding the apples and other fruit arent my problem its teh vegtables i dont eat them really at all so i dont even know what half of them are ive had to ask customers the if they were buying a zuccini or a cucumber i just havent really ever looked at em i hate veggies (i know i sound like im twelve) and then they expect me to knopw what boc choi is or jacuma its really kind of silly actually most of teh time the customer laughs but sometimes thay look at me like im from a different planet i mean i guess it is ironic that a person who eats almost nothing but animal products would work at whole foods

and by the way you dont need a single girlfriend you just need a handsome strapping young fella from out east wink

April 29, 2005

Im stuck without a sharp tool. I cant even open the plastic wrap around this journal. I wont be hijacking any planes today.

I am carrying my cell phone. I want to disparage everyone around me for talking on one, but I am carrying a cell phone. I dont have a watch. Does that make me better?

It is amazing how we...

Thank you everyone who offered hugs and duct tape to mend my broken heart- it was temporary.

I promised myself a trip to Mexico. So tomorrow I leave for Toronto. Because when you are planning a trip to Mexico it is very likely you will end up in Canada. That is how trips go.

Have a good weekend think of me sunning myself by the...

[somewhere i have never travelled]

somewhere i have never travelled, gladly beyond
any experience, your eyes have their silence:
in your most frail gesture are things which enclose me,
or which i cannot touch because they are too near

your slightest look easily will unclose me
though i have closed myself as fingers,
you open always petal by petal myself as Spring opens
(touching skilfully,mysteriously) her first...

Yep. Last year saw Ben Browder and Claudia Black there. Browder was absolutely nuts, and he had the audience in hysterics.

I wish I could write poetry. I wish could capture this spring in a few lines strewn across the page, mince my words, boil them down to their essence, and set them to the rhythm that Im thrilling to. I wish I was able to draw a picture of the ominous black clouds dumping hail as I run sodden to the sunlight; dancing with the...

I love the way you write, your words inspire beautiful pictures in the readers mind. You express yourself in such a way that I often feel that I can see what you are seeing simply because you articulate yourself so well.

WE ARE MADE OF STARDUST - Carl Sagan

Ignore the commericals but Watch the Video

I love Carl Sagan. I watched Cosmos religiously when it was on PBS.

No, I didn't even know that King Crimson was still around. Stupid corporate media conglomerates and their radio play censorship! If they are still recommended, I will definitely check them out. The everyone orchestra looks very cool, as does the Pangaea Project. So, you're going out on the town a bit more?

A little late on your last post, but, Claritin (or my personal favorite, drug-store-brand-knock-off-itin) makes the world liveable for me.

Have you noticed the hazy, dissociative side effects, though? I've got a friend who's tried quite a few chemicals, but swears that Claritin scares the hell out of her.

I had a few other encounters with people late last night. Turns out I had more friends than I really thought.
I doubt Arcata has changed much in 17 years. 1988 was when I moved to Fickle Hill.
But the ridge where I picked mushrooms is different.
Good to see you again.
