Delicious early morning air plays over my naked skin, the last breath of coolness before the heat of day.

Mmmmm summer.

Hot night air, barely moving with the creaks and groans of the old house, pins me to the bed and doesnt let me sleep.

yeah i know the war is far from over wink and i feel the same way about using birthdays as a personal new year. i used to do the same thing every time i shaved my head..sort of a borrowed belief from buddhism, that cutting my hair would sever all ties with the past thus allowing me to start fresh.

Cool morning air is such a good thing.

As are cool sheets. I want to find a way to keep my sheets perpetually chilled. Maybe some kind of microscopic water-cooling-tubes woven into the fabric...

When I was little I had a forty minute bus ride to school. In the fall, I would pass the time each day counting pumpkins on the houses' porches we passed. The number of bright orange flashes that we passed grew along with my excitement as we approached Halloween. Then suddenly they would be gone, and Id start to count wreaths on doors, until after...

Truth is a very wiggly word. I have always thought of myself as someone truthful. I lied to myself.

One could very well understand not saying something because it might hurt the other person or the relationship or because you've said it before and they don't want to listen. One could very well understand that by not saying that something, that one might have to...

In my hands a new sheet of paper-
PETITION FOR THE DISSOLUTION OF MARRIAGE

Today, I walked over to his new house. I tried to count the steps. Its only two blocks away, but truthfully it took me fifteen years to get there. But it gave me time to think.

I used to believe in wild love, that love could overcome obstacles. I used to...

I am the worst sick person, ever, so get ready for a full out self- serving whine. I have a fever. I have a chest cold. I cant stop sneezing. Oh, did I mention that my lower back will barely let me sit up since I pulled it moving furniture into my soon to be exs new house. And I think all the feelings Ive...

The sicknesss has been running around lately. I hope I didn't give it to you through the computer. Stupid Internet. I hope you feel better and don't worry, I'm sure when your're ready for your queen-sized bed to be shared, there will be a line of willing souls stretching around the block trying to get in. You should start advertising for bouncers.

I have a new man in my life. Our relationship started out slowly about a year and half ago. He stopped by the first time when I was working in the yard and chatted with me. The next time I saw him about a month later, he rang my doorbell, and then raked my leaves. Since then it has been growing until I see him...

I tried to pull myself up tall as I walked home along the tree lined street, but I had a funny taste in my mouth that wouldnt leave. The paper the lawyer gave me is folded into a small, heavy square. I am holding the start of the end in my palm. This small paper should be easy to fill out if I can just...

I used to love pineapple upside down cake. When I was seven, my mother went through a phase when she was making them a lot. She would let me sit up on the counter and let me have the pan after she had turned the cake out of it. I would sit there and scrape the bottom until every last drop of gooey melted brown...

Your daughter's lucky to have such a thoughtful mom. Thoughtful in the traditional sense that means considerate, yes, but also just in the having thoughts sense. You think about life and perspective and all kinds of things that are going to be so cool for her to learn about.

It sounds like things are tough but you're pretty balanced about it all... Take care, m'dear. kiss
