This is the mandatory year's end, coming-to-a-close, so let's make sense of it all moment, including a bit of ciphering - adding and deducting the goods and bads, arriving at an unsettling sum, and grasping for closure (one week early).

Every year I make mistakes. Sometimes the mistakes are the same ones from years before, and other times I am more innovative and create complicated yet imaginative mishaps. This year is unlike any other. I'm not ashamed of what I could've, should've, would've or ought to have done. There are things I did and wish I hadn't, but what now? What I did, I did so with relish, with a big pickle on the side. I reside with regret, dine with hindsight, and shower with solicitude, but by golly, I'm not alone, so I rest with repose, sleep with serenity, and bed with Ted.

It's better to regret something you have done than something you haven't done.

unfortunately, in my excitement, I neglected to photograph the mistletoe belt buckle and it didn't really survive the night. one thing I didn't count on was actually getting someone under it. I had to wait for a subject to sit down then I would jump up on the back of the couch or the arm of a chair, as I'm not known for being overly graceful or atheletic, this was comedy, I'm sure. all in all it was a very good evening, except at the end of the night I discovered the two 'subjects' I had got digits from and actually planned to see next week, turned out to be sisters. I just can't win.
