Compatibility is not something you have. It's something you make. It's a process, one that you negotiate as you go along.// Compatibility is overrated. The similarities or personality traits that attract people to each other may not hold up over time. When people are divorcing, they'll say "We have nothing in common"... yet they have kids, a house and 30 years of shared experience// Personality...

Yes, it is life-changing. But it's also been a long time in coming: nearly 3 years, plus a lot of counseling. This is what I want. What you said might eventually come to pass, but I'm not living my life on that assumption, and I don't think she is, either.

It was 108 degrees here - pretty good, things are finally cooling off shocked I rode my bike with my boy this evening along the boardwalk at pacific beach near belmont park tonight and the sea breeze and sunset made my day. And I didnt even feel like killing anyone earlier today while at work either, maybe because I was only there for 5 hours.

Don't get me wrong, I like humanity as a general concept. At the macro level, I find that humans are a successful animal group. At the micro level, I want to kill every individual irritating person. The urge to bash the fuckin skulls of annoying customers is increasingly strong. I revel in my murderous rage. Not that I could or would actually compel myself to...

That's funny, I have the completely opposite opinion. I hate humanity as a group, I think we all deserve to die. But I do a lot better with individuals, when you can talk to someone and see how maybe they're a good person, and smart in their own way and stuff. Of course, I probably want to kill more individuals than I end up liking, but I like to pretend...

People are always going to be an issue no matter what. There is no such thing as the perfect job. You're real job is dealing with other people. If other people "make" you annoyed at the slightest thing, then that probably means that you have no self control. If you don't practice patience and tolerance, how can you expect it to come from the outside world? If people can really make you happy or unhappy, then I'd fed ex you a bar of pure happiness right now and you'd be content for the rest of your life. No really, I would. I swear.

The truth is that no one can take away your happiness. Real happiness comes from within. But as long as you have no control over your mind, you will be blown about by the wind. Anyone can do that. tongue

no, i'm not a hippie

I'd like to update my journal with something meaningful but I'm too lazy to do this type of thing. I don't know how all you people here do it. You actually update your journals on a regular basis with good content. I just lack the initiative right now, so I'm doing enough to get by.

That trip thing. I like the idea too. I was thinking all the way down to manteca where my crazy dad lives, but following the coast. I used to live near mendecino and it was my favorite of places to live. What city do you two live in? I think it's san diego or LA, not sure... V's brother lives in LA, the possibilties....

I haven't had anything meaningful to say in weeks.

People should be more like dogs in general: not so hung up on the particulars, but walking around and sniffing each others's butts all the time.

I pooped three times already today. I didnt eat or take any medication that may cause such unusual bowel movements. Well, I did drink a cup of hot coffee and I heard from somewhere that hot drinks tend to rev up digestive tracts unintentionally..hrrmm.

A puppy 5 weeks old (a boxer) almost became a member of my family. Willy and Spooky would have enjoyed the...

I just bought a new "man purse" (satchel) book bag. There's a store by my gym that was having a going out of buisness sale. I got it for $40.

I still have a lot of stuff from when I was an undergrad, thinking I might need to refer to it. I haven't. I probably won't, but it's there in case I need it. I'm a pack rat myself, but I do enjoy getting rid of stuff. Just not until I'm ready.

My abnormal psych class starts in a week. It's going to be weird going back to school, but I think I'll enjoy it. whatever

The busses here are actually pretty nice. Most of them don't make me nervous at all, but I might just be used to them. Certain lines are full of seedier people though, like the one that used to go past my house when we lived on the edge of the suburbs. But really, they're fine. It's the people driving by in trucks who are the problem.

On our trip we're going up to Seattle to see Suicidal_george's sister (and eating what is supposed to be really great sushi), and then we're going down to southern Oregon to see some other of his family and probably shoot some guns, and then we'll come back up through the desert and hopefully look at the stars a bit. It should be fun. I am very much looking forward to the break from the rest of life.

I'm fucking updating at the fucking request of Nopantsdave. After seven fucking continuous work days, today is fucking finally a lazy fucking day off. I slept for 11 fucking hours (from 10 to 9) and I still feel fucking tired. The fucking disease of fucking lethargy has set upon my fucking body as it fucking has on my fucking mind. The fucking hair on...

God, I'm fucking have spasms of fucking nostalgia reading your post-college thoughts. I'm sorry, I can't help it - I'm laughing a little bit, too. Not because it isn't serious. It's deadly serious.

I remember sitting in my temp jobs next to a bunch of highschool dropouts who were probably getting a higher hourly rate than me, and wondering, "Why the fuck did I even get a college degree?" It takes a few years to get your head on straight and start climbing the ladder. You may even slip a few rungs, too. That's always a joy.

You like my little poems? blush

Speaking of fucking, I forgot to congradulate you on the success of cockaholics. It seems to be a rather busy group with diverse topics and many postings. Perhaps someone should start a parallel group like cuntaholics, twat-fancy or even just pussy lovers. Then we could bring the two groups together and watch the sperm and eggs fly. Just remember to bring a towel. tongue

I got into the classes I want. School starts August 23. Now I'm debating whether I should go through with it in the first place. I dont know if the investment of so much time in further schooling (8am - 4:30pm monday to friday and 6-9:30pm mon&wed) is a wise decision. Will it really improve my chances in the workforce or will I remain in...

Yes, I'm back, finally. Last week was crazy mad at work, and I just came home and slumped into bed at the end of every day.

What sort of schooling are you doing right now? Are you pursuing a Master's degree or some sort of certification, or what?

Anything you can do to get out of dead-end jobs is a good thing, though. I've done more than my fair share of those. Get out of them as soon as you can.

I am merciless in my self-doubt, and I hate it.

For a long while now, I've been wanting to have the SG tattoo strategically placed on my body but due to a desperate lack of funds (any of my few cents of spare money is spent on hair color) and the unblessing of my pookie (he has continually expressed his disapproval of me with ink), I wont be doing so even if it were my...
