Winning really isn't everything. Perspective is very important. For instance, the proverbial phyrric victory. For a more concrete example, watch elimidate. 4 people going tooth and nail to 'win' a loser they wouldn't have wanted away from the camera lights or competition. Basically, she's the ultimate earth mother. She protects her children (the wise) and kills everyone else (demons and such). I think she's creation and destruction all rolled into one, but I'm not a hindu. Anyway, the story is that she and shiva were getting it on (i think she's the goddess of tantric sex too?) and he got a little too playful and teasingly called her "Darky". Her feelings were hurt and she started dancing like godzilla. Shiva saw that she was going to destroy everything with her dance and so he threw himself down at her feet. At the last moment she saw him, stopped and the world was saved from destruction. Then she smiled and stuck out her tongue at him.

I don't know why I've even bothered watching the debates, I know they're not going to influence me really, and generally they just make me angry. I dislike K, as a person he kind of gives me the creeps, and I feel like he's lying to me. One the other hand, I know B is lying to me. I guess, although I don't like to be, I'm in the "anyone but B" camp, and I'm kind of stuck. The whole thing just makes me want to move far far away.

But on the other hand that's a whole lot of suffering and death that's going to come down on the underdogs of the world. So I guess that I'm anybody but Bush. The fucker is evil, corrupt and probably brain damaged from coke, alcohol, and nutrasweet. Kerry won't be much better. He's skull & bones too and has a greater loyalty to his little secrcet sorority than to the constitution. It's not like he's going to expose the fake war (on terror and on Iraq) or the massive corruption. The only thing that's going to change is to whom the checks get written out.

I could only afford the iPod because there was a $200 rebate when purchased through the education store with a new laptop, which I was getting anyway. I would never pay full price for one, but when they're only $70, how can you resist?

I was a quiet freshman too. I hid in my room with the blinds closed and listened to Bob Dylan and stared at the ceiling... I guess I was a little depressed too... The other ones smoked pot outside my window all night and blasted loud music.

Life is sweet pandemonium and essentially all of it is face-to-face interaction with other people rather than interaction with people through computers, so that's why I havent been here for the past few days. Boring, huh.

My co-workers are really nice people. The customers don't bug me anymore either. All I have to remember is that everyone I encounter has issues they deal with (family, financial, etc) and we are all on this crazy boat ride together.
