Sandra Cisneros is really cool. I'm so glad someone knows who she is! Every time I mention her to people, I get blank stares. My English teacher in high school loved her work, so she's pretty much the one who introduced me to her. We read excerpts from House on Mango Street, but I've never read the whole thing.
You honestly have no idea how flattered I get hearing that people enjoy reading what I write, and that they think I should do something with it. Considering I would love to write a book in the future, it's awesome knowing already that people are interested in reading what I have to say.

And I totally didn't even catch that your voicemail message was of Ren & Stimpy! It was so loud on the train when I called, I could barely hear myself.

ha. well, english is my strong subject. I remember one of the essays on the test I wrote was about Invisible Man. I didn't even finish the book it was so boring. Ahhh...I would've flunked out of high school if it wasn't for spark notes.
