alright. I just spent a silly amount of time playing with making a brazilian blog. If it works out I'll put the site in my profile for visitantes, but I dunno, I seem to be having issues with actually getting the blog to show up.

oh that's cool... smile

I was kind-of / not-really fluent in Japanese myself when I lived there.
I've been into buddhism and related for a while too.

yay! my first friend request!

yay! thanksgiving family marathon officially over. I just got approved for 8 extra shifts in the month of december, which rocks- I totally thought I'd only get like half of them. this still puts me around 40 hours a week on average for that month. so, not too bad, extra $$ for moving and paying the bills.

Real weird- I'm developing more leadership qualities at...

Tambien...

yuck too much smoke in the bar/danceclub. Well at least I got to dance. I got to see a bunch of old friends from capoeira that I don't see at class anymore, and haha! in the roda I got a near perfect rasteira off on the teacher. Not the he falls down kind, but the I could have knocked you over if I'd wanted to,...

I think it's always best when the kitties choose you. Bill's one of those guys, he is awesome, thanks.

Now, I think your armband is awesone too. The high tongue looks so lovely, and this is beautifully done. As more of a dwarf myself, I've considered having some runes done in ink, but I'd have to choose carefully what to say. I could find it, there's a challenge.

My collection of Buddhas is growing larger than it's aloted space. Man, when we move I may have to give them their own little table (read:altar) since they are outgrowing their shelf. Sorry, buddhas, I am visualizing giving you a huge, airy home, and all sorts of good things, but for now you must be content with one whole shelf.
Okay, I admit it, the...

Wow! You're pretty sneaky, getting more books in Sad Stuff... Your step-mom conversation reminds me of the step-mom & dad conversation I had earlier...was able to heave my guilt boulder of for this holiday. PS- I wouldn't worry about Buddhas too, too much...just a feeling. ARRR!!!

okay thanksgiving, and then christmas.
yuck. Here we go with the mothers side, father side, etc, multiple event holiday marathon. What this means is that I have to spend time with my father.
SO far, no step mother. Now that she dislikes all of his living relatives, it kind of makes it easier to avoid her. she's really puke puke puke .
I think it comes partially from...

" the best is to have a sort of anti-holiday or holiday alternative party with your friends seprately from all the sturm and drang.

just good food, and hanging out and relaxing.

much calmer."

This is it, you're right. The family stuff never goes away, mutates into those predictable minutes, the time with friends and real loved ones is the time for celebration. I have a solstice party every year for just that reason... leave the trappings of christianity and commercialism behind, and celebrate the return of the light to the sky, growing longer daily.

Something I can believe in.

Good luck with the folks, and the season. ARRR!!!

Ugh . . . sorry for the sucky family stress. What is it with families anyway? All of mine live in the same tiny town in Wyoming, and a "big do" is always expected during the holidays. Talk about small town politics and a seething under current of negative emotions. Stari says, "Just stay away." Luckily for me it costs a fortune to fly to WY, so I have been able to avoid the entire circus ever since I fled the state. Wooo!

Hope that something which brings you happiness and gratitude comes your way on the silly holiday. Something just for you, so you can celebrate in your own way. *stari wishing there was a "hugs" icon*

I'm on a running kick. So far it's lasted a week. I have plans to make it a regular thing. It would be really helpful for the old lungs. Plus it's an excelent cheap entertainment.
Today I ran with my sister. SHe was faster overall, but I beat her on the sprints! yay! I win!
Running faster than someone else is a major accomplishment for...

The asthma monster is scary, huh? He sits on my chest too. It's the worst when one goes out dancing and has an attack in a smoky club. It kinda put a big drag on the evening.

It's good that you are strengthing your lungs. I need to do more cardio work as well, but I haven't found anything I really love that gets my heart racing (except twirling and grooving). I'm so lazy. frown

Edited to add:
Running on the beach is where I love to run. I could spend the entire day splashing throught the waves and bounding along the sand. There is just something so right about the feel of the ground by the sea. The perfect combination of give and support. (Now I'm getting all nostalgic for summer days. Sigh . . )

move so you please yourself, move beleiving you can create interesting, luscious, delicious, rich movement.
That's the start. that's what they mean by grounded and centered.
fight, flail, flinch, let your breath rasp, and your lungs burn, but fight, and come from that place of enjoyment.
so you are not everyone's favorite, so you are not as flexible as a circus performer, as strong as an...

Well that friggin rules. Wanna hear something scary? I thought I recognized the quenya. Yeah, geeks unite.

I totally wanted to get something Tolkien-esq as a tattoo, but it seems almost too cliche now. Sure, I read the books when I was 12, but I only recently got the conviction for tattoos. I was going to get one of the dwarven war cries, but never settled on which one. I always thought it would be cool to be taking off my armor at a tournament and have someone ask me about it, and just shout out the war cry at them.. ehehe.

Yeah, I'm a dork.

I love the languages in the books. Elvish.org is also one of those websites that can just browse and browse all day long. I love that.

hmm. well, there's the end of another week of work for me. Not a bad shift until the last 20 minutes which involved trying to do incontinent care on a resident (that means patient wholives in the nursing home) with dementia who started freaking out and hitting us. I don't mind the hitting -- what bugs me is that this guy is in pain and...

Capoeira is amazing to watch. I wish I had the balance for it.

So, you must get asked all the time, but it's my turn. What does your ink say?
