Plans are beginning to come together. At some point next week I will interview internally at work to potentially move from the television side to the new media/internet side. Tried it last year and was blocked by TV executives.

What's different this year?

Plan B and potentially Plan C.

I have an interview at the Art Institute of Portland on the 18th for a Design...

Good for you... seeing the light at the end of the tunnel is sometimes just as rewarding as reaching it.

I haven't forgotten to give my review of Portland life... I've just been overwhelmed with a few issues of my own lately. Any free time I have, I'm asleep.

I'll give you the short, two word, review: It Rocks.

Being the super dork I am...just got the cats some catnip based early Christmas gifts and they are tearing around the empty house right now. Fun to see them go so nuts and having a blast with such simple little things.

Roommate and his girlfriend have left for a week. Dropped off my girlfriend as she'll spend Christmas with her Mom in South Carolina. All...

Wednesday now becomes Friday as I'll be flying up to SF on Saturday morning to work. Nothing like the ever-flexing schedule...though I am excited that I still get days off and they aren't just disregarded. But this means I have to finish all holiday cards and shopping on Thursday with everything out the door by Friday to arrive on time. I've got some things I'm...

I called in sick today.

This is the 2nd day since 1994 that I have called in to work so it is a different world. Between some kicking allergies, some exhausting hours at work and then a Monday Night Football game that worked me up so much I didn't fall asleep until 5:30 am...I needed a day out of the muck.

Woke up at 11:00,...

And away we go with 5 weeks remaining in the regular season...and it can't end fast enough.

I had a 4 day weekend, which was quite needed and appreciated. Hil, her Mom (in from Charleston, SC) and I spent a couple days down in San Diego with some family and then hosted an orphan Thanksgiving up here for some friends at work.

She just left...

My job has been annoying me often, but today had a very fun moment.

I booked a person I had known from working back in Baltimore for a video conferencing interview today for a show. We also had some additional post-interview questions, so I hopped on the headset and got in his ear figuring he probably wouldn't remember me. I introduced myself and it was...

Just saw the movie Wristcutters and had to say I enjoyed it. Patrick Fugit was, well Patrick Fugit and Shannyn Sossaman always has some Death Star tractor beam thing with me. Solid cameos and a movie that said some things without taking itself too seriously.

Anyone else seen this yet? If not I'd be interested in your take. Really short film for a theater (under...

Was never a big fan out of the gate, but Jay-Z has really dug trenches around my music tastes over the past few years.

If you have not heard his "American Gangster" album I would suggest you drop what you're doing and find a way to pleasure your ears with what he has done.

If you're not a hip-hop fan all the better. If you're...

Sitting here with my coffee and my brief amount of free time for the day. Pay a couple bills, check a couple sites and then make my way to Culver City. I have been extremely fortunate to add some really interesting "friends" over the past couple weeks. Kind of getting rejuvenated here as I had gone SG MIA (except for checking out the sets which...
