I've had my share of pretty bad depression spells. Not the kind where you're just down in the dumps...scary shit with thoughts you don't want to share. Want to know what's worse?
My younger brother (26) was found in NC with a hose running from his exhaust pipe into his mouth. Supposedly the retired EMT who stumbled across his car after an APB went out said if it was 15 minutes later he wouldn't have made it.
I'm calm, but in shock and fear right now. I've had to be the level headed one that my Mom can talk to to keep her head on straight. She's driving down there now and I call every half hour to make sure she's alright.
He's in the Army so I'm waiting up here, for now, to find out how many people, or if he's even allowed to have visitors this soon after. It's a very helpless feeling and I hope they're giving him proper care and will give him continued mental support. Don't really know what else to say right now.
