I had been wandering through a haze for months now. Was it before Karen left me? I know that's part of the reason I was so unaffected.

I'm almost sure it was.

I've felt so... insulated from everything. I'm a very... I'm reluctant to say emotional. I suppose intense is more appropriate? When I'm passionate I am passionate.

What is life if we do not follow our passions?

Leave reason and practicalities at the door, I say. I was not meant to toil and burn. My heart screams at me to touch the stars. To risk impossible odds and consequences be damned.

But where has all that been?

I've been feeling so removed from that. From everything.

But Monday I fucking lost it. I woke up and took a shower, getting ready for work as per the norm. Nothing out of the ordinary... and then it struck me. It hit me in the gut.

I just hope it's a good thing. We'll see.
