Well this weeks has been great fun! My boss has been away on other business this week leaving me in charge of the office. Unlike the last time I was in control of the Empire it has been a smooth operation.

The funny thing is that my boss is not the kind of bloke to praise you, or even show any emotions. Well this morning my boss came into the office just to say how thankful he was of me and that I was doing a fantastic job and to really enjoy my day off tomorrow as I have earned it. Then he shook my hand and said that he will see me on Sunday at the Lodge barbie.

I must say it has been a massive learning curve for me over the past 11 months learning how to run an office and keep staff working and finding the fine line between a great friendly boss and a do what I say or die boss. But I finally think that I have it right, my team seems to respect me and one of them said to me yesterday i will follow you to the ends of the earth.....dramatic yes but I love dramatic people and it made me feel like a P.I.M.P.

I think what has made these people trust in me is that I will never ask them to do anything that I myself would not do or have not done, and that I treat them as humans with individual needs and requirements.

Anyway I am excited I can't wait for the day to end and I am looking forward to Halloween it is my favorite time of year. I have the day and I am getting Foxtel installed, but most importantly I get to spend one more day with my lovely wife..
